The Minchiate decks have 97 cards, they include the astrological signs, the four elements and the four virtues as well.

They are nice decks IMO but need alot of study. I tried, but had to devote my time to other decks instead. One day I hope to go back to them.

The New Vision Tarot (by O'Dell & Shandra, 1985) has 100 cards--an extra suit of spirit and additions to the majors.

Gerbear  21 Nov 2004
The Transformational/Gotthold, and the Transformational/Butler, both have 100 cards.

Here's a link to 80 decks that either are tarot or call themselves tarot and have 79 or more cards.

Quest Tarot has 80 cards. The normal ones (with different court cards though), plus two others: The Multiverse and the Blank Card.

Another one not on this list is the Rocambole Tarot, with 90 cards.

The Grand Etteilla is a divination deck with over 74 cards; The Deva Tarot published by Piatnik has well over 74 cards (because it has a fifth suit).

Thanks for the correction, Rusty Neon. Somehow my memory had turned it into a higher number.

There's also the Faery Wicca Tarot (Yates and Stepanich) that contains five extra cards, one Tree of Life (00) and the others being gifts.

Thomas Murner presented 1502 and 1507 two didactical decks, which (probably both) had more than 78 cards.

The Cary-Yale Tarocchi probably had more than 78 cards.

I don't know, how much cards Pokemon etc. have, but much more. Other collectible cards should be mentioned, baseball, soccer players, etc..

the sakki-sakki tarot by our very own M-Press has a 79th card. :)

WolfSpirit  22 Nov 2004
The Shapeshifter Tarot has 3 extra majors.
The Tarot of the Spirit has 1 extra card, I think it is meant as a "blank" (I never use it)
The Parrott Tarot has 4 extra cards: the deck has an extra court card in all 4 suits, called the Mentor.

truelighth  22 Nov 2004
The Tarot in de Herstelde Orde (Tarot in the Restored Order) from Onno Doctors Van Leeuwen has 80 cards. It is a Dutch deck that claims to have restored the two missing cards. Nice theory and a nice deck, but I personally don't believe two cards were ever missing. Anyway, it fits this category.

You can always go to Tarot Garden and search. Use advanced search, and indicate that you want to see all decks with 79 cards or more, then hit the button. The listings tell you if it's available or not.
