Tarocchi di Vetro ("Tarots of the Stained Glass", the original Major Arcana of the Crystal Tarot) and Jean-Claude Flornoy's careful re-creation of Jean Dodal's 1701 Tarot de Marseille (the Major Arcana) were joy-bringing gifts this white Alpine Christmas.
They are so beautiful I cannot think of reading with them, but just look and look and look.
I wish you all peace and justice, imagination and success, and continued excitement and discovery in the Fool's Journey.

Merry Christmas!
Are we listing decks we received for Christmas? If so, my friend in Japan sent me the Housewives Tarot off my Amazon Wish List, along with a book on Shamanism and a book on...Satan! Actually, that book is "The Origin of Satan" by Elaine Pagels, and it is a scholarly book (not a "How to Contact the Dark Lord"-type of book). My boss thought it was strange, though, when I opened the package at work and he saw a book on Satan! ;)
The Housewives Tarot is so well thought out and executed! I am already enjoying it immensely!
Peace,
Melvis

Merry Christmas
I treated myself to the DruidCraft which came yesterday (24 Dec) - I wasn't going to buy anymore decks for a while but this deck had such an impact on me I decided to buy it for myself. :)

I treated myself to 'Quick & Easy' Tarot. The meanings are printed on each card. The lazy persons way of reading. I don't think you could get a very in depth reading from these. I spotted them a long time ago and thought what the heck I will get them for Christmas.
I think I might get the housewifes tarot next. Sounds good Melvis.
Hope you all had a great day on the 25th.

Good Christmas...
Got Fey Tarot, Gothic Tarot of Vampires and Goddess Tarot, pocket edition.
I'm not ready to take on the Vampire yet... a little too different to read and I don't feel I know the "basics" enough. Fey might kinda be that way too.
They are all AWESOME.

Gardener bought me one deck this Christmas - the German edition of a deck I didn't even know about (didn't think THAT was possible) - the Golden Dragon. Thanks to Jeannette at Tarot Garden for that one.
I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. Wasn't sure I would like it at first but when I opened it, I knew immediately it would be a powerful reading deck for me.
I also indulged and bought a couple of decks for myself in the past week - the Housewives and the Whimsical (oh, and the LS Tarot of the Renaissance).
Now dear old Gardener really made out (probably should let her tell the story), but Santa Contrascarpe got her a rare Folchi Columbo deck (couldn't wait to give her that one), plus six others (with Waking the Wild Spirit and the Dreaming in Color oracle being the most well-received.

Have been out of town for a week, and while here, treated myself to 2 decks:
Il Tarocchi di Robot (less than 1/2 price!)
and a brand new deck, Frank's Tarot (subtitled An Artist's Deck), a signed/numbered limited edition handmade deck/bag for $40.00.
When I get home, I will have the regular edition of the Lover's Path waiting for me (I got the limited edition before I left town).

I got the Merryday, thanks to a great member here! She made me a deal I could afford so it was my Christmas gift to myself! :D I'm so thrilled and I've been doing a ton of readings with it already for other people. It's a gorgeous deck and the readings are great. I was at first a little surprised at how flimsy the cards are, but actually they're very nice to shuffle now that I'm used to them.
I also got the mini Hanson-Roberts deck from a member here and love it a lot. I didn't think I liked this deck several years ago but now I love it and intend to get the full size one of these days, too.

I got the Thoth! Unfortunately my local bookstore lost the order I made for Lon Milo Duquettes book on that deck, so I jumped on amazom last night and made up for it by ordering 6 extra books!
Guess I have lots to keep me entertained for a good long while.

Saint Nicholas and La Befana have been most generous to me this year. Not only did the Greenwood Tarot come my way, but also the International Icon Tarot and the Ansata T. I'm assured that a T. of the Old Path and a Celtic Dragon T. are late but en route. So I happily enter the new year with much to be grateful for and much to keep me busy. I can only hope that all of you be happy, healthy, productive, creative, and peace-seeking as we move into the year 2005 of the common era.
Now I go back to munching my Christmas/Festive/Seasonal fruitcake!

Let's see now....
I got the Lover's Path Limited (for me/from me)
The Ferret arrived shortly before Xmas, so I decided that was an xmas present...
I got the Ironwing shortly before, and that feels like an xmas present, wintery (right now at least) and special...it speaks quite softly so far, which I didn't expect.
And I just ordered the Dreaming in Color Oracle which I truly wanted, but no one made use of the link I gave them (more than once!) so I got it myself. :))
Also, my Toni Salerno's Spirit oracle was for Christmas, definitiely...quite hauntingly beautiful.

I come home to find in my mail the Ancient Tarots of Bologna and the Ancient Tarots of Liguria-Piedmont (form Llwellyn's great sale).
A couple of nice historical reproductions.
And, I also got a wonderful bag for my Housewives deck, made by our very own Lark!
