Just bought the Radiant version today..I love the look and feel of it..but I keep hoping that I can find an inexpensive Haindl Tarot for sale somewhere...

I like the Haindl, too, bladeraven. I'm hoping to get it for Christmas. :)
The Haindl must be a pretty popular deck-it hardly ever comes up on eBay, where I've gotten some good decks. It's still in print, at least, so it can still be purchased/ordered at the bookstore.

I love the card, because it's a very vivid deck and causes me to focus on my intuitive feelings

I have it, but I haven't used it yet. I mainly got a copy so that I have what I consider to be a nice version closest to the original RWS. I just like the colouring, I suppose. :)

I have both the Universal Waite deck with the softer but distinct colouring, and the newer Radiant Rider-Waite with the more vivid colouring. Both are far more colourful than the standard Rider-Waite decks. I guess that's one big reason I like the newer versions. But I've been wondering about a few things.
1. Are the brighter colours a distraction for some readers, and so potentially a negative feature?
2. We know colour can attract or repel us, according to our tastes, culture, etc. Can the variety and differences of colour from one version to another subtly change the reading, depending upon which version is in use, even when the images are the same?
Just wondering.
