I've just bought this deck and was wondering if anyone has it and what they think of it? Still waiting on it to be delivered to my home!

Hi, that was really good of you to give me those threads. Very interesting. My deck came on 23/12/04 and that's me just opened them now so i could have a look at a couple of cards that were mentioned on one of the threads.
I have to say the book is so beautiful as well as the cards! Once my husband goes back to work and my son goes back to nursery for two and a half hours, i'm going to get my head into this deck :)
Thanks again!

Hi Juanita,
I think that's the worst thing about having decks on holiday times - You have to wait for the house to get back to normal to enjoy them lol - I have the Quest and I too think that is it a beautiful deck. It looks so busy but once you've had chance to get to grips there is some of the features you won't use all the time. I loved the yes/no daggers and also tried out the ouija board kind of lettering. Also the figures being silver and gold with no features makes the deck sort of surreal.
When you look at the cards first you think you see everything on them, then go back and look again - new things used to pop out at me all the time.
I haven't had the time to give this deck the study it deserves - it feels more like a Thoth clone and I'm too involved in Rider Waite symbolism at the moment.
The book is an amazing read too. :)

Hi Juanita :)
I have it, and I really like it. There's an awful lot to it. Many, many symbols in the deck which may or may not be helpful. There are aspects I don't use, (some of those symbols!) but it's nice to have them in there if you do choose to utilise them. The artwork I find genuinely lovely.

The only thing i've really done with the Quest is show one or two of my friends! lol! I have to admit that after my son went to sleep, i did sit with each card and read about each one in turn.
I love them to pieces though and hope to give a reading with them just to see how i get on. I just got myself the Universal Rider Waite which are stunning! Even the Death card doesn't look that bad. I was using the Golden Rider Waite but just before Xmas i spilt tea on some of the cards! I felt i couldn't use them after that which is probably silly !
Anyway, as i had my eye on the Universal i decided that was a good time to get them :) Also, my friend picked up the Universal before me and her ones are plain blue on the back but my have nice stars and mine are also glossy which is funny because it's like their saying 'Well, if you DO spill tea on me, you won't have to put me away as you can give me a gentle wipe over !' :)
lol!

Hiya Juanita!!
My second proper deck was the quest...and the minute i saw it i wanted it...but to tell you the truth, it opened more doors and I ended up buying the thoth next...then the robin wood, then more!! My personal opinion is that I find the Quest harder to interpret, especially the court cards, as they all look so similar!! I do like the yes/no feature however...though its not always been accurate with me...saying that, Ive found the readings with my quest have always hit the nail on the head !!!
Ive also got little ones at home, and always wait for the mid-day nap or when my 3 year old is at school to get into a bit of tarot reading!
take care!
