a friend of mine saw a copy of the deck in a mall near his place. it was selling for approximately $35. the catch: one card's missing. dang.

Bluefusion: Considering the difficulties in locating a copy of the Vertigo & the price it commands, I would get the deck. Then find out if someone who has the deck could scan the missing card to match its approximate size & e-mail it.

Gee, I dunno...Personally,I know absolutely Zilch re:e-bay cuz I've never dealt there, but goin' on just from what I've heard, and some of the whacky -stuff I've seen with my own two eyes on TV, Oh,Whew! some of those folks will buy any darned thing, LOL!!! soo, you'd think something Tarot-great (as in Vertigo),even w/one card askew...would be worth more than 35 bucks...just a thought...nuthin' ventured, naught gained, I guess.

Heck, people HERE would buy it!
The site with all the Vertigo cards is listed in the postings somewhere, so even a scan off the internet can be done for the card.
See if you can get your friend to get the deck. Forget eBay, someone here will happily buy it from them.

my oh my. din't think it would be THAT popular! i mean, i know dave mckean's art is great, but to purchase an incomplete deck... oh well, what have i got to lose. i'll try to go to the mall and look for the deck (as it seems no one's interested in buying it from there anyway cuz a card's missing) - that is, when i get my christmas money to actually be able to purchase it! :D

I'd say hold off, if you wait long enough it will come up for a price you want. I remember everyone saying that the POMO was only selling for gobs of money on ebay and I got mine there for about $11.
