I made this thread about the Fairy Tarot because i love fairies and I'm looking forward to buying the deck. I just want to you know what people think about it first (like if it's any good). The lack of reviews and information leaves me in the dust.
And also if you know sites with full deck pictures.
Thanks!!

If this is the Lo Scarabeo Fairy Tarot you're talking about, I have it, in the miniature version. It's fun as a writing prompt, but in my opinion, it's really more of an oracle deck than Tarot.

Yea thats it.
More of an oracle deck? Thats odd it looked like a regular deck to me (ecept the newnames and art). But It looks cool anyway I love fairys :D

The deck is a regular tarot deck, but I understand what ncefafn means by being an oracle deck. It's not like RWS with it's imagery. Even as other decks are not so like RW style, the images do reflect the meaning in some way.
The fairy don't do that as much.

May I recommend the Fey Tarot? It is very beautiful, very profound, most definitely Tarot, and has become quite popular. I have the deck and love it. The Fairy Tarot from Lo Scarabeo, which I also have, is not as good in my opinion. You can see reviews of the Fey Tarot, and images, right here at aeclectic.com. There is also quite an active Fey Tarot Study group. Peace and blessings...........Michael

I have Fairy Tarot.and I did the site named Fairy's tarot to introduce some tarots especially Lo scarabeo's.
I think fairy tarot is pretty but for me to use the minor arcanas is difficult..

I second Tarobones's recommendation of the Fey. It is so lush with imagery, symbolism and detail that it is one of the few decks I don't read with reversals. The art is exquisite, and I see something new in it every time I read with it.

Hello Morifae,
I have the Fairy Tarot from Scarabeo. In fact it was my first deck but I've never loved it, just haven't felt (till this time) any connection with it, I don't know why...
There is a review of this deck in the web, if you haven't read it by now:

I hope it helped! ;)

Well, I had the Fairy Tarot and had to sold it. The major arcanas are gorgeous, so beautiful but didn't feel any connection at all with the minor arcanas, they are so simple scenes pictures but complicated at least for me. Also the minors are so different than the major arcanas I would advice you to buy The Fey Tarot, you won't regret it, it's a very magical deck. but of course if your desition. :)
Blessings,
MAR

If you like the art, the minors and majors have a storyline that is in the booklet. There is a kit with a book. The book is great...but I don't like the art as much as my other decks.
http://www.astroamerica.com/t-fairy2.html
So you can buy the deck with book; or a deck with booklet only; and a small-size deck.
The deck in a mini-version, but then there isn't a booklet available in that small deck...that is why Lo Scarabeo seems to have made the pdf available.

Cerulean

Thank you, Cerulean. I'm getting the book with it most likely.

Knowing me i'll probaly get both...I just feel like me coming across the fairy tarot was fate... I was reading a book about the deck called the art of tarot and it said something like; There are lots of different decks and then it listed some and fairy tarot seemed to stick out. Then i went on this site to see it and it just amazed me :D thats basicly it.
I do really like fey tarot because it is awesome. And i'll most likely buy it later on. I especally like the lovers card. It's really cool!

I guess the big question is, do you want the Fairy Tarot to work with the Tarot, or to collect as a beautiful piece of fairy art? If it's the former, I wouldn't advise trying to learn Tarot on that deck AT ALL. If it's the latter, then by all means, enjoy it, it's lovely! I was just looking at it today in a shop. Since I'm only into readable decks, I wouldn't buy it, but I do plan to buy the Fey.
When learning the Tarot, it's usually better to stick with a deck that follows the basic Tarot imagery fairly closely, otherwise it's going to be much more difficult to learn, especially if you're using any Tarot how-to books. Another cool fairy deck is the Forest Folklore Tarot, although since I don't own it, I can't comment on how well it reads.
There are also a number of fairy oracle decks (not really Tarot, but used for divination or personal development). Look at the top of this page, way at the top by the Aeclectic logo, and there is a line of icons--click on Decks, then Categories, then scroll down to Fairies, and there you go!
I personally find the Fairy Ring Oracle breathtaking. I'd love to see the Faeries Oracle in person, it looks stunning in the scans.

Well i'm not learning the tarot so i think i will be fine. Plus I have 1 other decks that is really great for learning. And then i have another deck, Mystic Tarot. Which I really don't recomend. It's like elemental tarot.

If you like fairys you've come to the right place!! There are alot of us here who do too! LOL
I also like the LS Fairy deck as an art deck. The majors are absolutely beautiful, but as a reading deck it was a bust for me. The minors didn't do much for me though and since I really couldn't read with it I ended up trading it.
I now have the Fey, Forest Folklore, Fairy Ring and Froud's Faeries Oracle!!! I love all of them!! But the Faeries Oracle is the best of the bunch for me. I could never get rid of it. I actually tend to draw a faeries oracle card as an overview when I do readings with any of the other decks.
But if you're drawn to the LS Fairys deck I say go for it!!! It's drawing your attention for a reason. :)

If you want a Fairy Tarot deck it it would be good for you if you got The Faeries Oracle. My mum has got that and she says it's really good. I have looked at some of the pictures too and they are really pretty!
