It's the "Servants of the Light" Tarot by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki and Jo Gill.

I should have added "and Anthony Clark, who painted the minors."

I believe it's OK to post the title or item# of an eBay auction, so that people can find it themselves, just not an actual link. I agree, though, that it seems unfair if one is not the seller to consider it "advertising".

As Aeclectic Tarot has not the means to determine whether or not a personal interest exists (for advertising or self-promotion purposes), a general policy is observed regarding the posting of links to an auction or to a website.
Exceptions are the "one-time" mention in response to a query for information or research purposes; where administrative permission or approval has been acquired.
Some link postings are overlooked/missed. If there is uncertainty, please do contact the Forum Moderator.

Could anybody send me the link or ebay # as private message? I'd like to see the deck, too.
Some moderator decisions are hard to understand.
thanks,

The rationale behind removing e-bay links to decks is also difficult to understand for me. There is no problem when people link to decks at Tarot Garden, or Lo Scarabeo for instance. It's done all the time.
If a brand new member pops up and immediately starts by posting decks for sale at e-bay, that's obvious that he/she is just trying to use Aeclectic for advertising. When Kiama posts a link to an e-bay deck, is is pretty obvious that there is another reason for this.
I don't see the difference between pointing out a sale at Tarot Garden or Llewellyn (wasn't it Llewellyn who were selling decks for 5 dollars recently? There was a whole thread about it) and a rare or unusual deck being sold on e-bay. On the contrary, rare and unusual decks should be spoken about...
If I decide to sell all my decks through e-bay, will I not be allowed to let people here know about it?

And apart from what Diana said, sometimes ebay links are the only way to see images of rare and out of print decks, and these discussions have happened before on this forum without trouble.
Anyway, I'm just curious to see the deck. Have a nice day,
Sonja

As mentioned previously, there is permission arranged between certain individuals/parties for the posting of links to specific websites. Some do not have permission. We try to address these as they occur & occasionally miss.
We are aware that eBay offers an opportunity to view a rare or hard-to-find deck not otherwise accessible for view. The decision was made reluctantly based on the difficulty in discerning who is a seller or not. The general application of the intent to be fair as some members do conduct auctions on eBay. As far as I know, there is no problem with verbal referral to an item.
Since Subscriber Members have posting privileges in Advertising, ostensibly an announcement can be posted therein for a private sale or other venue of personal interest (as Subscribers have done so) if the Tarot Trading Forum does not apply or is not suitable; however, check with Solandia first regarding the nature of same.

Hi folks,
Many apologies for posting the Ebay link: I have not read the forum guidelines in a while, and was unaware of the rule.
I have PMed those who requested the Ebay Item number for the item, so they can see the images of the cards.
If it is Servants of the Light (which makes sense, because it is an Egyptian themed deck, as the auction says) then I'm sure you can find images of it on places like Tarot Garden or Tarot Passages.
Blessings,
Kiama *Watching the auction eagerly* })

I concur, there is a difference between advertising and using an e-bay link for reference.
The difference is obvious.

The general policy of no eBay links was a decision made by administration after some consideration. As MeeWah has already explained, it was made because there's no real way to tell if someone is advertising their own auction and profiting directly from its visibility on the forum.

Now there is a 'servants of light' deck and book set for auction.
Search it, you'll find it.
The buyer knows what it is and has put a reserve. (it's not me.)
I am always tempted to bid, just to see what the reserve is!
One day I'll do that and end up winning someting I can't afford.
The most annoying thing is when a lot just says 'tarot deck', so I have to have a look, and it is always a 'Jonathan Dee' deck.
Anyhow, servants of the light, it's there to be looked at.
