I wanted to buy the Gilded Tarot tomorrow but unfortunatly they don't have stock, so they have ordered that deck for me which I should get in about 1/2 months time. So tomorrow I am buying the Quest Tarot - I just wanted to know if anyone has used this deck and what they think of it?

Hi sj
Thank you for the links and the comments, I have gone to the website already - I don't tend to be too spontaneous about buying a deck (they are very expensive here) but I loved the colours and all the symbolism.
I have recently got into runes so I think that will just help my runes developing (I made my set from rose quartz and a silver koki) and the crystals - well I have over 80 of those and they are my best friends the rest of it - the yes/no is how I started my journey with my pendulum, and well as for the hebrew and iching - I love to learn have an unquenchable thirst for it and my photographic memory on that doest hurt ;p. I think overall I just loved the pictures, colours and feel of it.

I didn't care for the quest at all. I am not a big fan of computer generated art... and this art is VERY computer looking.
I ended up giving my copy away....
Love,
Rachel
(Who should disclose that she loves antique decks!)

I too found the Quest to be really modern and also very different to what I was used too. If you've been to the Quest website you'll know how different these cards look - they have alot of details on them - the eyecolour indicators, the Runes, the yes/no daggers, the gemstones - more things than I can remember.
I like this deck because the figures used were more like molten metal with no details, I either like decks to have nicely detailed faces or none at all - I still think this is a Thoth clone that then goes off and does its own thing. The book that comes with the deck is very good - Its a deck that I decided to put on the backburner until I have the time this decks needs. Also details seem to come off the cards at you, I kept seeing different things on the cards each time I looked.
If you like the deck and you know that its different and it doesn't put you off then I'd say go for it. It will be very different from the Gilded which is classed as a RWS clone deck. :)

I just got my Quest Tarot, and haven´t done any readings with it as yet.Usually I like Tarots like Jolanda,Spiral,Cosmic,Shining Tribe;much more illustrated pips.
However, this decks looks interesting,as a way to learn about for example astronomy,so I´m going to give it a chance.I also like the Multiverse card, and the blank card.
I absolutely hate the black kitten on the Devil card.Medieval,I say.
Edited 1 week later;I´ve began the study of the Majors now,and the pictures are wonderful:I think I will be using this deck. However, the Rune signs are not the ones I´ve learnt, but that doesn´t matter.I will use the deck as a normal Tarot deck.
