If you're wondering why there's been no response it's because this issue has been discussed here to death. It won't work. Do a search of the Forums using the keyword "Greenwood" with the poster as "Jeannette" for an explanation why.

Yeah, it's unfortunate. We're considered too much of a splinter group to cater to. A full deck reprint needs large mundane crowds willing to buy, not collectors or die hard fans.

I would buy it if it were reprinted.

If it's out of print, why not ask someone to photocopy their deck or just put it online? Then you could download the images and make your own decks. If there's a will, there's a way. :)

Heck, I would buy it if it would just drop below $150 on eBay. Even at the current low, low price(;)) of @$225 lately, it's still too much for me.

Because even though it's OOP, it's still protected under copyright. Which means that what you're suggesting is technically illegal.
No judgement of your good intentions is meant -- I'd just recommend caution when making such suggestions publicly (or even privately, for that matter).

Greenwood Tarot by Chesca Potter? and Mark Ryan?
http://herebedragons.co.uk/chesca/greenwood.htm
I think what we have is a case of cutting off your nose
to spite your face, since the war of nerves between the
co-creators long ago reached an insurmountable barrier,
with neither one willing to let the other take the credit.
It's OOP because the lawyers :D have stacked the deck.

hi all,
fulgour- i have read your post several times and am still confused! could you expand on your comments?
are you saying the creators fell out?
and that this is one reason why it will never be reprinted?
or did i miss something?
i think i have mentioned before that i have e-mailed us games several times about the possibility they might reprint.
i received my latest "courtesy response" about a week ago from bobbie in customer services. she said that the printing schedule is full right up to the end of 2006 but they will do some serious market research after this to see what others think about a reprinting of the deck.
at first, i felt quite encouraged when i read that e-mail ,but now i feel they just said that because they're sick and tired of getting my e-mails about the greenwood every few weeks!!!
earth en lady- i'd suggest you do just as you are planning! one request for a reprint is better than nothing but if we all try it may just get us somewhere!!love tink x

Since U S Games was not the publisher of the Greenwood Tarot, a fact that has been pointed out in this thread and repeatedly in others, I'm sure they are sick and tired of getting e-mails about it. Let's forget about sending e-mails to anybody and be thankful for the wonderful decks we still have.

The Greenwood Tarot
Publisher: Thorsons Publishing,
Cards edition December 1996
ISBN: 1855383845
How many decks for an edition?
2500 or 5000? That is a BIG order.
But the artists could run off 500...
seems easy, but it isn't happening.
Why? I'd say there's bad feelings.

It may be a simple matter of contract. Very often publishing contracts state that the artist/author cannot have the deck published elsewhere (and that includes self-pubishing) for a number of years. From the publisher's point of view, it's entirely fair and you can see why they do it, but it may mean that the artists of the Greenwood can't offer a reprint, even if they would want to.
Just speculating.
