I picked this up for 10 bucks at Half Price books (it came in a kit with a book). It looks kind of interesting; I might not read with it, but the art's kind of cool.
I was wondering what others here thought of the deck.

Yeah I saw this there also...
I had a hard time resisting it for only $10. I'm still thinking of going back to get it.
It's kinda growing on me...

As I'm flipping through it, I'm liking the fact that everyone isn't white. I'm of various ethnic backgrounds (mostly African American) and a deck that doesn't show all white people appeals to me greatly. (No offense to any white people.)

I thought that i would really like this deck before i got it...the magician just seemed so cool, but now that i have it i dont like it because it seems so childish. I think the only part i really like about it is how its made out of linoleum carvings (which takes forever). Its also kinda cool that some pics are ambiguous, like the lovers--two ppl of the same sex or opposite sex? The darker one has a nice butt too--not quite badunka-dunk tho LOL

Ok... I gave in and bought this deck. It was on sale and I just couldn't resist. So far I like it better than I ever thought. I really think it's cool.

I like the World Spirit a lot. I like Death and the Magician, but I particularly like the Court cards. When I was trying to learn the court cards, I just couldn't relate to the RWS pictures. I find the World Spirit's court cards have a lot more movement and, well, personality for lack of a better word. It was much easier using them for the exercises in Tarot for Yourself and other books, and now I feel like I have a set of friends to fall back on. When I get stuck on a court card in a reading, I'll pull out the World Spirit deck as a starting place for some comparative study.
BTW, I also like that they represent different nationalities--and different ages and sizes. Being gray-haired and none too slim, I appreciate that. ;)

I find the court cards in this deck much "easier" to understand than in my Gilded that is for sure. The other deck that has really great court cards is the Housewives Tarot... very readable.

Like Sulis, this is one of the first decks that I really connected with. It practically followed me home from a psychic fair. I love the bold colors, and I also love that the deck is easily readable. This is one of my favorites.

I love this deck, it has remained my favorite for some years now. Aside from the art and colors appealing to me (which I think is a very important but personal reaction to a deck), this deck impresses me with the multi-layered, sophisticated thought which went into the symbolism used. I think achieving such diverse cultural references, while producing a coherent and ... authentic deck is truly a remarkable achievement.
In readings, I have found it to be very flexible, and very consistent with my own ethics of respect and empowerment of the reader's own intuitive abilities.
In study, I have not yet found a card in this deck which is not authentic yet fresh; no card is merely an iteration of someone else's work in the deck's style, nor is any card just made up out without awareness of the history of the card and the coherency of the entire deck and Tarot as a system. Despite long time use, this deck still surprises and teaches me.
I have said in other threads how I love the dynamism of the images; the multi-cultural / multi generational / multi you-name-it characters of this deck; the court card treatment which makes intuitive the only system of court card interpretation I think makes any sense; the universal approach to some images and archtypes which have been weighed down with christian dogma in other decks (such as Judgement; the Devil; Temperance; the Lovers). I still think this is a deck for the ages, a true classic.

I got the World Spirit deck about a year ago. The art technique really appeals to me. The colours & design of the images have grown on me. It seems a very good option to the RWS variations, or decks like the new Druidcraft. It pleases!
