Does anyone know if there are any plans to re-issue the Alchemical Tarot (Place), which is currently out of print?

Robert Place's site indicates that:
The Alchemical Tarot is temporarily out of stock

The website of the deck's co-creator Rosemary Ellen Guiley [visionary living] indicates:
The Alchemical Tarot:Good news for those of you who have been trying to find copies of this out-of-print book and deck set that I did with artist Robert Michael Place! Galde Press has taken it on for reissue.

I'm curious whether Galde Press will be reissuing it.

Rusty Neon, thank you! I'm also interested in Place's forthcoming "Tarot of the Sevenfold Mystery."
Does anyone read regularly with the Alchemical Tarot? Do you need to have specialized knowledge of alchemy to utilize the full potential of this deck? Or is the symbolism itself so intuitive that anyone can read with it?

Hey Starlily,
I read with it often. And while knowledge of the basic precepts of Alchemy is certainly useful and will add depth to your readings, the deck itself is a miracle of simple, articulate design. The images have the kind of immediate, visceral, timeless impact of the RWS deck without the Golden Dawn baggage. Beautiful, evocative and superclear. Place knows his stuff and it shows. I heartily recommend this deck to anyone.
If you dig Place, you should also definitely check out his new book on the history of the Tarot with particular focus on Neoplatonism. Phenomenal stuff.

Scion,
As soon as I finish Pollack's 78 DEGREE'S OF WISDOM I am going to read Place's book. Great recommendation.
It is that same "superclear"element that attracted me to Place's Tarot and artwork images. As you stated so well, sometimes the simplest images can be the most "evocative." I love how uncluttered the artwork is. I can get overwhelmed by symbolism. My intellect will start dominating over my intuition. But with the images I've seen from the "Tarot of the Sevenfold Mystery," I kept getting sudden flashes of insight about the nature of the cards. I was hoping that the Alchemical Tarot might be similar.
I hope the re-issue comes soon!

Place e-mailed people who have access to his website that he was selling his or one of his copies at e-bay...
Also, I checked Amazon.com /Marketplace, almost every day for a time..I found two used ones (still in packages w/ book) ...in space of a week, each for a little over $40. Keep checking on a regular basis...people are selling theirs.
I like the deck very much!

If it turns out that the Alchemical is in fact going to be reissued through Galde Press, one may find more and more of the old edition Alchemical decks suddenly appearing on eBay before potential bidders learn of the upcoming reissue. :)

Good point, Rusty...that's one reason, I kept my eyes out for one priced around $40 instead of $150 or more.....I thoroughly enjoyed the accompanying book...and just received Place's new book today ...
