I just bought a New Tarot on ebay (haven't yet received it).
This is the deck by John Cooke and Rosalind Sharpe, published 1968, now oop. Does anyone have any information about this deck or use it? I saw the scans at Tarot Garden but otherwise know nothing about the deck. The deck I bought is sealed, with book.
Thanks,

There were four editions printed between 1968 and 1971, I believe. The deck then fell OOP, but was reprinted in the early 90s as the Word of One Tarot. The Word of One edition had a much-abridged text, but included two additional majors-only decks. One deck was black-and-white and was intended to represent the "Atlantean Age," the other in color and intended to represent the "Medieval Age." The Word of One set fell OOP after one printing, I believe.
The independently published I Am One deck is clearly based on Cooke & Sharp's deck, but does not appear to credit Cooke & Sharp's work as the source of the I Am One images.

Thanks for the information, Jeannette and fyreflye. :) Apparently I bought the 1970 edition, b/c it has the LWB and the book about the maze. What an interesting history--I can't wait to see the deck.
