Morgan greer misprint

Hi I recently won the Morgan Greer tarot on ebay,it was sealed with @1979 I seem to have a page of pods (misprint) rather than Page of Rods just wondering does anyone else have this?

Hi earth en lady, Is this misprint on the card itself or in the LWB? Do you have the Morgan Press edition of the Morgan-Greer deck in the 2-part box? That's the edition that I have. It shows Page of Rods both on the card and in the LWB. In other words, my edition has no misprint as to the Page of Rods.

My shiny new and very beautiful Morgan-Greer deck has the Page of Rods. I was almost afraid to look... what if it had said Rage of Pods? It boggles the mind.

I just rushed and had a look at my Morgan Greer also 1979 published. In both LWB and card has Page of Rods. So no 'Rage of Pods' for me. How interesting a real 'Cage of Cods ' for you to find :D I would not have noticed as sometimes I have a dyslexic brain. Thanks, cause I have a project in mind and I just realised the Page of Rods plays more than lip service to Pamela's Page. It is like hers in close up. It is wonderful, this Forum. ~Rosanne

I have a Page of Rods in my 1979. But I was afraid to look for a good few minutes. Sorry your oop version has an oddity. Cerulean

I wouldn't necessarily say it's a bad thing to have a misprint. If it's a true misprint, then I'd hang onto that deck and keep it in really good shape. Misprints can often increase the value of an item!

Can you post a picture of this? I would like to see it ... and send a copy to Bill Greer to see what he says about it. {PS - which wont be much! Greer is a cantankerous old bear :smoker: and doesn't discuss much about the Morgan-Greer deck.}

Makes me wonder what the Page of Pods would mean in a reading. The peas in your garden will do well this year?

I knew my copy of the Morgan Greer could not possibly have a page of pods, instead of a page of rods, simply because I received an Italian copy of the MG instead of the English one, which I considered a major fault on either my part or Alida's at the time I ordered it, and was about to return it at the time, but then decided to keep it anyway, since the images were so bold and vivid, that I was able to overlook this minor mistake. But the LWB was another story. However, I checked my Italian copy anyway, and I found the FANTE DI BASTONI printed on top of the -supposedly- otherwise PAGE OF RODS image.

I'm off to check my two Morgan Greers - English and Spanish versions but I'm pretty sure I have Pages of Rods lol - I think I would have noticed if I had a Pod Page instead lol :)

I just checked on mine 1979 Morgan Press Page of rods here. If you decide the misprint makes the deck a non-keeper, I have no doubt that you can find it a very happy home through the trade board. LadyMedusa

He does get a little riled if you refer to his early work as retro. First time I saw his BFG (Billy F. Greer) I thougt it stood for "Big Friendly Giant" :) He didn't mind, and it maybe kinda fits!

earth en lady is not alone in this--I, too, have the 1979 Morgan-Greer with a "Page of Pods." Actually, I never realized it until I saw this thread. In fact, I have not even used the deck once because it was a gift from my spiritual reader. The deck orginially belonged to her cousin, who unfortunately died at a young age. So, the deck is kind of sentimental. Maybe this will inspire me to look more closely at this deck. Thanks earth en lady!

Hi everyone thanks for a wonderful response ,I am very happy with my page of pods just the way she is ,and it's nice to know shes not alone! Tarot bear I have been trying to get a photo of her but can't seem to load it up I can attatch one to an email if that helps pm me,thankyou for your kind offer.I love this deck

Just got a letter back from Bill Greer - he says it sounds interesting but he is unaware of any misprints in the deck, so possibly there are a few more out there ...?

I have been watching this thread for days with a view to checking mine when I remembered and guess what??? I think I have a Pod Page. I hesitated because the ink is smudged but I am pretty sure its a POD Mine is in blue box Morgan Press Inc 1979 :)

I looked over at the decks on tarot.com where they show all the cards, the one scanned in over there says 'Rods' very distinctly. Hmm, collector's item, Earth en Lady?

Interesting observation earth en lady! I had never noticed it before. Thanks for posting the attachment tarotbear. That is my Page of Pods too! So that makes three of us. Two in the UK and one in the States. There must be more around somewhere. So how to read it...

Thankyou tarot bear for your help and receiving a little "Rage of Pods" ,and Rainwolf I like that interpretation :0) ,only thing now is using the deck I bought the Morgan Greer to use I love the imagery but maybe I should keep it shiny and new ! Ohh more decisions! Maybe I will ask them?

Today I pulled out my MG deck and went through the entire deck - it's one of the ones I own but don't use to read with. I knew that I DO NOT have a 'Page of Pods,' but I do have 79 cards and have TWO Page of Rods cards! What is up with that card? LOL! :smoker:
