How Many Decks Do You Have?

I have over 80 tarot decks, and if I count tarot decks and oracle decks, I have over 90 decks total. :D

I had to think about it... since I "loaned" a deck out to my son's GF and don't ever expect to really see it again and have one deck I've never read with and don't plan on using ever... so since I don't think about it I don't know if I want to count it or not. So... I have 5 I count and another two I don't. LOL

52! not counting oracles. I don't know where to put them either. In fact I have had to list them too because I can never remember which ones I have got :D

Right now, I have 27 tarot decks and 32 oracles. One tarot (Gothic Tarot by Vargo) and one oracle (Good Witch Bad Witch) are in double so I don't count them here. I have a few boxes to keep them and a shelf on the side of my desk, right next to my computer, which is practical when I want to study decks and check out cards.

20-something and counting. Just 6 months ago I had a little over 10. And sometimes I wonder where the money goes... I guess all I have to do is look in my deck-drawers. (Yes, there are two now and I'm trying to think of better places for when there will be too many to fit in there.)

I have about 60 decks. It took me three years to collect them; I bought a lot when I came to Aeclectic, I was so happy to see all these pretty decks. I am buying much less now, also because I found the deck that is perfect for me. I will always have a wishlist; but now it is more "would like to have one day" rather than "must have now".

I came to Aeclectic in 2001 with about 3 decks. Now I have 208 (with some on the way) - and that's not including all the decks I have owned over the years that I sold or traded for books. As collectors go, I'm quite a slow collector - I very rarely buy newly released decks, tend to buy second-hand from Ebay or I have a taste for really expensive, limited edition, hand-made decks that you can only buy from their creator on the internet! (And on a student budget, this is no mean feat! :D ) Blessings, Kiama

*LOL* well if I cut all the writing off my I am One deck I would end up with 11 and a half decks, and being the expectant mother of 3 more...*sigh* I envisage without husband control, I would be in the hundreds, starving, kiddies begging for food, me sitting eyes glazed over.....just not attractive!

I have about 430 decks at the moment. They are all on display on the walls of the hall in my apartment which does not have any direct sunlight which might fade the boxes. Those decks which come in big boxes with books, I have placed into transparent plastic envelopes also hung on the wall so I can see them. As my main interest in tarot is in the symbolism and artwork, I need to be able to see them. Often when I walk by them I just take one that I am attracted to off the shelf and look through it again. When I had them piled up five deep on a bookshelf it was not so easy to look at them. Now I am able to browse them easily. I also have two large plexi glass sheets to which I have attached little cardboard flaps at the back, into which I can slip the entire cards of a deck. These I hang on the walls of my workroom so I can see the entire deck at once. I change the deck about once a week. This way I try to become familiar with all the decks in some detail. Collecting Tarots is for me a bit of an addiction, as I am sure it is for others.

Just under 150. Not including Oracle decks. And I wonder if it was a freudian slip that caused me to make a typo and say "Lust under 150" before I looked at it and said "oops". :D

Had about 12 a few weeks ago and then "culled" it down to 5- then bought a second Thoth (large version). So I consider that I only have 5 Tarots. Not buying any more. There's enough in the 5 I have to last a life time. Regards, Ian

I have 77 with 2 in the mail - this doesn't include oracle decks and 'fortune-telling' decks. it does get a tad addicitive after a while ... but I think that like most collectors, I am fairly specific in my wants. mythos

I have 12 now, with 3 on the way. That will make 9 Tarots and 6 Oracles. I also have 3 pendulums, which I am working on learning and some runes on their way to me as well, in case that counts for anything. LOL Bar

I have around 90. I've made a lot of them bags and decorated boxes, and have them all over my house. I've hung up a few of my favorites on the wall in the my bedroom. Sue
