Anyone here read with this one? How is it for your readings? I'm looking for a deck for "mundane" readings, daily type stuff, simplicity, with a modern feel. Along the lines of the Housewives deck? Not sure of the name but it's a new one I saw on Tarot Passages with a 50's "Honey, I'm home!" feel. I know I wouldn't connect with The Housewives but I think I just might to the Pagan. Anyone read for others with this deck? Thanks, EAB

I don't own this deck, but I came across it on Amazon.com as a Kit: Deck, BOOK, and BAG (with a pentagram on it!). I agree with you on the "feel" of the deck, but I can't speak from personal experience. I'm waiting for the kit to come out.

Nice deck, but I feel like it's a self-reflective one for now. I've done a mixed reading for myself using both this one and the Olympus Tarot--it's the same artist's work. I appreciate the art and the images.
I think I did an experimental reading for one or two people here last year. I got the feeling that I was not getting into the 'heart' of the deck's potential. One can glimpse some interesting ideas, but it's more of a guess on my part.
The link with Amazon.com information has some more information from Ms. Pace that I didn't see on her website.

While I enjoyed the storylike feel of the cards, I don't think this deck was intended to mix with another deck just for art's sake. I felt Ms. Gina Pace intended something else with this deck--so I'm curious about the book she is writing for this deck.
I hope this opinion doesn't sound too vague.
I saw the Housewive's Tarot this weekend and while I liked the recipe box, I passed on it. Charming nostalgia in many ways--there's a website for the Housewives Tarot, if you like. But I gather you are very interested in the Pagan Tarot. Would you like links to reviews or past threads discussing this deck?

Hey You Two,
Thanks for the help. FaerieStorm, I saw that Kit! It's on my wishlist at amazon. When I order the deck I'm getting the kit:).
Cerulean,
thanks for the link to Gina's words on the deck. Now I REALLY want it!! I'm going to check out her website to see more about it. I'm looking for something with an everyday feel, and I've been looking at the Pagan for a long time now for some reason. Guess I'm just drawn to it. I first ran across it browsing the decks here on AT.
I want something simple that I can really relate to on an "I'm living my life day by day level:? Does that make sense? The kind of deck I can do readings on about everyday things, like keeping a journal, going to work, going out with friends, that kind of thing, that looks at life in a simple modern way but still has deeper connection. I think I can see myself in these cards. Kicked back in a chair on the front porch, working on my computer, having car trouble, etc. I'm hoping it will be a big contrast to the other decks I already own. I'd like to round out the selection. I'm typically drawn to fantasy/comic decks like the Fey, and richly drawn slightly dark decks like the Buckland Romani. For instance, along with the Pagan I'll be getting the LS Secret Tarot as well. I can't help it my toenails are blooming for this one!!! I passed on the Housewives because I don't think I could read with it, but I imagined I could connect with the Pagan the way some could connect with the Housewives. It would be really interesting to get a dead on reading with someone for that deck!!
I think I've pretty much looked at all the Pagan links already but if you know of a good one with lots of talk about reading with this deck I love to have it. Thanks:). EAB

There was a review of the deck by this British newsletter. Scroll down and click on Summer 2004. The full review is downloadable as a Microsoft Word or acrobat document.

The reviewer said they felt a 'deja view' style familiarity with it. I wonder how you will react...incidently, even though I looked on the Lo Scarabeo website, no mention of Gina Pace's book this year...oh, sigh-sigh. Sometimes these things come a little earlier than expected, which would be good news.
Good readings to you!
