Does anyone have list of all the items that Lo Scarabeo
issued in the series Tarocchi d'Arte in the 1990's ?
They are no longer listed on Lo Scarabeo's web site.
I have these decks from the series :-
Tarocchi Duerer by Giacinto Gaudenzi
I Tarocchi delle Fiabe by various artists
Graphik Tarocchi by Zoltan Tamassi
I Tarocki - Paulo De Filippo and Massimo Galloni
and would like to collect more. The cards are in a
largish format, 6 by 3 inches, and are majors only.
Thanks,
Adam McLean

I have the Tarocchi di Leonardo by Iassen Ghiuselev.
Unfortunately that's all I know. Good luck with the search.

Were the Bosch and Dante decks part of this series? Someone else will have to confirm or deny that...I don't know if they were ever printed in a majors only edition though.

E. Trevisan's Majors-only Tarocchi di Vetro is part of the series.
_Also_ part of the series is the 78-card I Tarocchi di Robot, interesting.

I do have that deck and I must confess I had not realised till you pointed it out that it was part of the Tarocchi d'Arte series.
It is, of course, written on the box, but this 78 card deck is in a different format from others being in the standard size of most of the Lo Scarabeo cards and is printed with a varnished surface. What distinguished the Tarocchi d'Arte series for me was the Majors only, larger format, the thick card, and the rather neat slide boxes.
It seems that Lo Scarabeo expanded the original concept
a bit here.

Way to go Adam! Although it doesn't seem complete, as my I Tarocchi dell'Apocalisse isn't listed. Perhaps it covers a certain time period, like a year, or so. The Apocalisse was issued in 1990, and the artist is Raffaello Mori. There may be yet still more to discover.

I'll have to take the I Tarocchi dell'Apocalisse off the list for the D'Arte decks. I went to check out my copy, and it seems that it belongs to ANOTHER series called "Arte E Magia" Does anyone know about this series?

I only have one deck from this series...I Tarocchi della Zingara. This has since been released as the 78-card Universal Tarot, with art by Roberto de Angelis (a re-drawing of the Waite-Smith deck, very nice).

Dear Gerbear,
I don't know the Tarocchi dell'Apocalisse.
I have a 'Tarot der Apokalypse' by Gabriele Quinque,
which was published by a German publisher Param
in 2004 with a book.
This is a majors only deack using parts of the Durer
woodcuts of the Apocalypse.
Is your deck related to this ? Perhaps an Italian edition.
If not I would be interested in seeing an example of the
imagery of the Tarocchi dell'Apocalisse.
We can probally sort out many of these identification problems when Kaplan's fourth volume is published.

The I Tarocchi dell'Apocalisse is not related to the deck you mentioned. I have seen no scans of this deck anywhere on the net, including Tarot Garden. If I had a scanner, I could post, but I don't. The artwork is a surreal cartoonish style, sort of a combination of Dali and Rene Magritte. As it was produced in 1990, it should be in volume IV of the encyclopedia. The wait to see it won't be long now. Perhaps there will be a listing of the various Lo Scarabeo series. (D'Arte - Fantstico - Arte e Magia)
