Greetings all,
Well I'm never satisfied with my collection and need MORE hehe, so I saw this advertised in a pagan mag and thought I'd give people a heads up..
http://www.lisahuntart.com/animalsdivine.html
its out this august and it looks nice! Its by the creator of the Celtic Dragon and Shapeshifter tarot.
I really like the idea of the sun as Horus!
What do you think?

This is the deck I am most looking forward to. I love animal decks or decks with lots of animals in it :)
Lisa Hunt puts a lot of details in her work, I hope the cards will be big enough to show that all. I also have and love the Shapeshifter deck, but I hope this one will be a bit brighter and crisper so it shows the images better.
I love the cards so far, especially the Page of Pentacles.

Although I don't normally like Lisa Hunt's decks, the Animals Divine tarot does look lovely :). Tarot Garden is already accepting pre-orders for it, by the way; I emailed them a few weeks ago and got on the list.

I've preordered mine also -- if it's an animal deck, I can never fight the urge to buy it! I too hope that the art is brighter and not as subdued as her Celtic Dragon Tarot. Her work is so beautiful, it is a shame that it doesn't stand out more.
Many Blessings,
Bodhran

This looks like a stunning deck that not only focusses on animals, but also where they are of importance spiritually around the world, and their place in different pantheons. This is something that interests me greatly, so I am looking forward to the release of this deck.
And artwork by Lisa Hunt as well. What more can one want?

In respect to the two decks Lisa Hunt did with D.J. Conway, she illustrated the wands as representing AIR, while the Swords with FIRE. I hope she doesn't do it this time. Purhaps she only did it to satisfy Conway's witchy hang-up about the wand being an Air ritual tool and the Athame being a Fire tool.
Thoughts?

I hope she doesn't do it again either, because personally I found it quite disconcerting in the Celtic Dragon Tarot and Shapeshifter Tarot.
But the funny thing is, so many Witches and Wiccans I've spoken to see the Athame/Sword/Dagger as a tool of Air, and the Wand as a tool of Fire.
But this is an old and much-repeated debate within the Tarot world (more so than in the Wiccan world I feel), and I understand that there are those out there who prefer to see Fire as Swords and Air as Wands.
Having said all that, once I got into the decks, I could use them both fairly well even though I disagreed with the Air/Fire correspondance.

Wow another one to add to the wish list I think. I have the Celtic Dragon deck and I love the artwork on it. I think this will become a must have :)
