Hi all,
I was hoping someone could reply with a list of decks where the artist has drawn an image of both the upright and reversed "state" of each card.
The only one I've seen so far is Zach Wong's Revelations Tarot. Seems interesting.
Any others? I like the idea of having a different reversed graphic---might enliven my readings!

The Tarot of the Dead has this for its Court Cards, but not for its Majors and Minor Arcana as well.
I can't think of any others off the top of my head though!

The new Revelations Tarot has reversed images on all the cards. It appears to be a gorgeous deck too.

All the Tarock game packs - hundreds of them. See Kaplan's encyclopedia - he lists quite a few. They are probably the inspiration for the Revelations et al. but reworked.

I feel that Zach Wong's Revelations Tarot is by far the best. I do also like the Esoteric Ancient Tarot by Etteilla. It also has reversals for all the cards.--Tao

LS has a new deck due out in Europe in September called Reflections which uses the same ideas as the Revelations deck. That is mirrored but changed images on the cards.
I copied this url but it just goes to the catalogue. Anyway, it is under Tarots, then Modern decks then Reflections.

The historical ones include (usually) double-ended majors with different reverse and upright scenes, half-figure courts that are reversible, minor cards unillustrated and only suited pips, such as the following:
Di Gumppenberg "Trade Sites of Milan" about 1820 (Il Solleone)
Tarocco di Maria Stuarda--Tarot of Mary Stuart (after an opera) around 1850 by Eduardo/Theodoro Dotti (Il Meneghello)
Alan Tarocco (with French suited pips) 1910 (Trieste, Italy--Modiano)
There are Tarock decks that are similar, as mentioned before, although they may differ in numbers of cards according to region.

I have to agree with you about the Revelations Tarot Deck. I bought it after a long hiatus away from the Cards specifically because it had both upright and reversed images on the cards. I was driven to study reversals more deeply to really understand how they operate in a reading. Some of Wong's imagery is too "mechanical" for me...especially the suit of Wands, but otherwise, it's a beautiful deck that reminds me of stained glass.
Speaking of reversals, have you (or anyone else) read Mary K. Greer's book on the subject? It's part of Llewellyn series on "Special Topics in Tarot" for intermediate to advanced readers.
