The Gilded is my favourite deck. Isn't it wonderful? I find the images just breathtaking and all the symbolism is so clean and traditional. But for me it also brings tarot to a new dimension. I love the mechanical works throughout the deck, almost mixing time and the material/science world with that of the mystical. The whole deck is very even, meaning both the major and the minor arcana are illustrated nicely. Some decks you find the major arcana is nice, but the minor arcana leaves something to be desired. The Gilded is perfect throughout. I find it very hard to put down, and after 30 years of tarot, it quickly became my all-time favourite deck. I actually own two-one for playing and reading, and one in case something happens to my other one! Good luck with this deck. I expect it will read very well for you, and most people have just loved their Gilded. There are also some nice discussions in the tarot study section on the Gilded which you may find very useful.

Hi Marty_uk!
I just got this deck less than a week ago, and I just love it! I find that it reads very easily! I've done several readings for myself as well as others, and they have all had a flow that was just amazing! This is also the first ever tarot deck that I have bought myself. It's GORGEOUS! Hope you enjoy it!

It's a beautiful deck and I have found it very easy to work with as it is RWS based and pretty much sticks to the same symbolism. I also love the detail on it there are so many little creatures hiding and other details that you can spend hours studying.

I LOVE this deck and am so pleased to have found it. It has become my major deck for all readings and it is so accessible and full of messages, I love the way each card connect with each other in a spread giving a real insight into a question as a whole reading and not just card by card.
I also find reversals far more insightful with Gilded too...
Have any of you seen Ciro's new deck Tarot of Dreams, it was pointed out to me in the new members thread and am now on the email waiting list!

I find it very versatile and easy to read. I find myself reaching for it regularly ever since I got it. It's the deck I use most right now. Love it.

I want to get this deck. I looked on Amazon, and it the picture showed the book. Does the deck come with this, or is it just the book? I ask, because I once what I thought was the deck, but it was just the book (Dragon Tarot).

I ordered by Gilded deck via Aeclectic and their link to Amazon. I got the deck itself in a very nice box which holds the deck, the book by Barbara Moore (with comments by Ciro Marchetti) and yet a smaller box to house the cards plus a net bag for said cards and little box.
What a deal!! (pun intended)

The Gilded is a deck thats been on my wish list since it first came out but it never got ordered - until now :D
I've looked at the scans of it so many times I feel like its a deck I already know, I like how alive and vibrant the cards appear - so eventually I've ordered it and it should be with me soon. :)

The Gilded turned out to be a deck that surprised me. I wasn't too sure about it in the shop but I bought it in the end. I still don't know if I actually like the artwork as it's a bit 'airbrushy' but I've obviously 'clicked' with it and have had some great readings. It's become my second favourite deck of the ones I own (after Tarot of the Cat People).

My Gilded came yesterday and I'm having fun with it - I don't usually read with new decks so soon but this one was begging to be read with.
I think the black background really makes the colours stand out - the figures are very well drawn, very detailed in expressions - which makes a deck for me. In most of my decks there are cards that I'm not too keen on - but in the Gilded I like all of them but its too early to say which are my special favourites.
I'm really pleased I got round to ordering this deck, and now I do have it I realise why it was voted deck of the year last year. :)
