Tarot Constellations and Mandalas

Well after our wonderful thread on the personality, soul and shadow card I promised to post something once I got further into it. The Costellation aspect relates to groupings of Tarot cards within 9 constellations (card numbers in parenthesis are numbers of corresponding Major Arcana cards): Magician Constellation (19-10-1) High Priestess Constellation (20-11-2) Empress Constellation (21-12-3) Emperor Constellation (22-13-4) Heirophant Constellation (14-5) Lovers Constellation (15-6) Chariot Constellation (16-7) Stength Constellation (17-8) Hermit Constellation (18-9) Each of these constellations has a principle, which is the focus of the card. Based on your name and birthday you have several constellations that influence you. If any of you would like me to go into more detail on this I will be happy to. It is very very interesting once you do it for yourself, I have found some really odd coincidences such as: My fiance and I sharing not only the same personality and soul cards, but also sharing a constellation based on our names; one of my best friends and I share the same karmic year. All of my close friends (including the fiance) share my personality and soul cards *LOL*. Those of you interested in hidden factors, well there is more about this in relation to your name ... If you are interested I will be more than happy to try and explain this one piece at a time or you might want to go ahead and get Mary Greer's book "Tarot Constellations." Hi Jewel, I´m still waiting for my copy of Constellations :( - it´s only reached "in process" status .... wuahh However I got tarot for Yourself yesterday ... what an absolute great workbook that is !!!!!! I´m in for the "study group" you suggestet on the shadow-thread, just wanted you to know how far I´ve reached in the process of getting the books :)

Hi Bec! I saw that you got the book! YAY! I really hope you enjoy it. I would love to study with you and exchange ideas! Maybe we can study the 3 books together via these forums and e-mail. I find that having people to discuss things with is really helping me a lot! and I would love a study partner! (which of course is why I suggested a study group). Where did you order your Tarot Constellations Book from? are you in the US? I have seen it at several places here where I live and would be happy to help you get your hands on it and on the 3rd workbook by her as well (Tarot Mirrors). Let me know! Hi jewel :) I ordered my books in Barnes ans Noble, but constellations is not i stock, so it will take , I don´t know, but weeks :( No I´m not in US, Denmark, so the shipping itself takes forever - talk about anticipation here :D I primarily work with waite - and in the stage of getting to know shapeshifter ( already know she´s gonna be my tarot soulmate ;D ) I haven´t ordered Tarot Mirrors - but I´m sure it wont take long hence my hubby is a computer-freak and an equal book lover as my self :) Yes let´s study together, I´ve reached the first few pages in Tarot for Yourself ( starting page 19 tonight) Trying to figure out what to do with all these cards of signefigans. What deck do you use for the book ?

I am primarily using the Robin Wood Tarot :) I do own the Shapeshifter though so this could be a really good opportunity to work with it some :) If you like the art of Shapeshifter you will probably also like The Cletic Dragon Tarot drawn by the same artist. My main problem with the Shapeshifter is that it has 84 cards ... but it is trully beautiful and it will do me some good to work with it. I am starting Chapter 6 of Tarot for Yourself, but still have some of the exercises to do (visualizations & meditations mainly). I need to get myself a recorder so I can record the visualizations, etc. Hopefully I will be it this weekend. I would be happy to redo assignments as repetition is a good teacher. We can set ourselves a schedule, share our results, ask each other questions, etc. As for the sign thingies ~giggles~ you need your birth chart. It is really neat putting it all together. The last chapter also calls for use of your birth chart. I really look forward to working through the Mary Greer books with you! :) It is great to have a Tarot study partner! Thanks. As for you living in Denmark, I have no qualms about doing international trading so if there is something here in the US that you need and can't get we can work it out by trading perhaps for decks easier to find there :) Just an idea ;) I will be out of pocket for the rest of this week through next Tuesday so I will check in with you then :) Love & Light, Love & Light,

Hi Jewel, I have my birth chart, no prob. Also done with all the personal profile cards. about trade *gee* can´t think of anything good for trading round here - I buy on the internet because Denmark is so poor on good divination stuff. Also just got a note, that BandN wont be able to deliever "constellations" *sobs*, so I´m not quite sure what to do next - I´ll think of something though. Here´s my data so far: Personality/soul card: chariot shadow card: the tower year card: wheel of furtune destiny card: 2 of pentacles SO ....... what does that tell about me ? Do you have any suggestions ?

Bec, Maybe amazone.de (germany) has the book you want, or. www.proxis.be (belgium), or www.bol.com. For me being in europe (holland) it might be easier to get it, proxis doesnt have shipping costs for me cos of my country. I dont mind getting it and send it to you.... This tarot yourself book sounds like being fun, can you tell me something about it? What the chapters are about eg... Kaz

Kaz, thanks for the offer, I might take you up on that on :) Tarot for Yourself: It takes you through tarot in a way that it doesn´t matter if you´re total newbie or an experienced reader. It gives you ways of calculating your personality/soul/zodiac sun-moon-rising/destiny card. It teaches you tecniqes in how to enter and leave a card. It teaches you how to read cards, use cards, shows different spreads and interpretation features. I haven´t reached further in the book, but I see Healing, creation of deck, stories, your own stories It´s an overall workbook, which activates your imagination - really a great book :)

Hi Bec and Kaz! Cool that you have your b-chart and have started working on that Bec :) As for Tarot Constellations, Bec if Kaz cannot help you get it I will, I am sure we can work something out :) ... no study partner of mine shall be deprived of her/his books ;) Kaz it would be great if you wanted to join Bec and I in our study. The book Tarot for Yourself is the first of 3 work books and Bec and I are going to try and work through all 3 of them together so we can compare notes, help each other, and just have someone to share the experience with. Bec is right the book offers alot of topics and so far has been really neat (I am on Chapter 6, but as I told Bec the more I go over things the better I will understand it so I do not mind at all working on earlier chapters, plus there are some early exercises that I still need to do). Bec let me know if you and Kaz work something out to get you that book since Kaz is closer to you than I am (I am in the US), but if not lets put our heads together so I can get that book to you! Jewel: how did you end up with a courtcard as Destiny Card ? I can make a somewhat halfheartet attempt here, but I would prefer to make sure, that your destiny cards is correct first, it tends to be the keyword on how to read the others. Kaz: your destiny card should be: Seven of Cups

Ooooh forgot .... Jewel you´re spot on about my perosnality... teehee..... I do tend to turn everything upside down just for fun to see what happens . And yes control and balancing/juggling especially with my bitchy/woman side is very much an issue in life. I tend to be the hardest judge on my self.

Bec, thanks for the info on the destiny card. Now, my general impression from Jewels cards is this : You are someone who looks within herself for what is real and true, you are non-judgemental to others and compassion will show in everything that you do. You have a basic trust in life itself, but you don't just let it happen, you will fight for what's right. What I did was looking at the elements the cards are, not so much at the individual meaning of them. I see 1 fire card here, 2 water and 2 air. Destinycard is the fire aspect of water. Missing here is the earth aspect. Which tells that a basis/ground lacks for what I described above. This is not an easy one, Jade what you think of my impression? Kaz

Since I have been working with both the Constellations and the Tarot for Yourself books I have so many personal cards I get them all confused *LOL*. I will tell you this, though, something really interesting after working with the Tarot Constellations book is that I found out that my lifetime card is my zodiac card, the Moon ... Kaz we will help you out with anything you need until you get your book and we can all discuss our results together and ask each other questions. It is so great to have poeple to study with. As for your assessement on me I think that pretty right on. I will make my full list of correspondences per my b-chart and post it here tomorrow. I look forward to our exchanges :). This is so fun! Thanks for any info, DeLani Hi DeLani, Bec Kaz and I were all part of the discussion on the Shadow card which you can find in this forum (I think). The basic concept is that the Shadow card concept was brought up by MeeWah, and the principle really is explained fully in the book Tarot Constellations (also by Mary Greer and a workbook). Basically there are 9 constellations. Your soul and personality cards will be within the same constellation which in your case is the constellation of the Chariot (7-16). As the Tower is not expressed as your personality card it is your shadow card. A card within your constellation that is not explicitly expressed. I hope this helps. Jewel, your destiny card is 10 of cups. Your personality - WOW. I would love to know you in real life, bet you could teach me a whole lot about diplomatic behevior and politeness *G* I see you as a very sweet and nice person, you always tend to offer new perspectives to live and situations. You strive for higher understandings and universial knowlegde. You have the nicest way of telling people off when you think they´re in the wrong - I do believe you could tell anybody to f*** off without them realizing you´re actually being rude to them. You live life to the fullest with a nonjugdemental view on others, however everything has to be done in the name of justice. With 10 of cups as your destiny card, it seems that good luck and fortune just fall in your laps with no need to fight for it, maybe that sometimes leave you to think that you miss out on something or that something´s wrong, cause you see everybody else have to struggle. You´re a very lovable person, and if anyone should need a judge in an arguement, you´re the one to call - you´ll get things straight with a sweet smile and come up with 3 winners in the end. ~Giggles~ guess I forgot to tell you that I am red head *LOL* Actually what you described is the person I strive to be. The person I feel that I am inside, the true me, but sometimes my temper gets the best of me (biggotry and discrimination make me blow my top). I do not judge others, that is standard for me, and I do not like being put in that position, however when placed there I believe in being fair (I facilitate and let whom ever is arguing try to come to their own resolutions) which is usually not what whom ever brought me in wanted so we do not always have a 3 way win ... and yes, when someone really goes to far I will tell them to f*** off but it has to be bad for me to be so crude. I think the broader my perspective has become and the more in tune with myself that I have become things are happening easier and easier for me. It was not always so, but slowly but surely things seem to be falling into place in a natural order for me. I am grateful for that. I am very interested in the greater good of all and how I can be a part of the solution. I consider myself a spiritual person, and I am always and forever trying to increase my knowledge. Who knows ~giggles~ maybe in 10 years or so I will be that marvelous person you described *LOL* ... certainly worth trying for ;). Is there a webby which calculates houses, risings etc? I am curious what you can tell about me.... Kaz

Kaz: I see you as a person very much on the ground, no need for being in the air here flying round with all the other dreamers, you tend to bring facts and logic to a conversation. You love to talk and guide people in very sensible way, in all the you are very patient, don´t mind at all to repeat your self so people will fully understand. You having a hard time putting limits up for your self, why should you, when there is so much around you can endulge yourself in. This year has brourght signifigant changes in your life, but with personality you should be albe to gather the information needed and handle it with logic and patients. You might have some quarrels how to handle temper and temper things, since your soul card and your destiny card are oppisites. That´s what I get from the top of my head

Okies Kaz I am going to give it a shot *LOL*. The Heirophant as your Personality and Soul Card indicates to me that traditionally you have stayed within societal norms and that it is important to you to belong to some structured or formal system of belief, have a traditional job, etc. But there is something more you are seeking, you know there is more out there and your shadow, Temperance is asking you to seek the balance that you need in order to be fulfilled. In addition, the 7 of cups as your Destiny Card supports this, you dream about that perfect formal system which you know is out there waiting to be found by you and to settle into it. With Death as your year card I would say that most of this has hit you within the last year and that you are in a period of transition and acceptance finding a new place and level for your Heirophant side. Something that will compliment and satisfy the Heirophant in you, give you balance (Temeperance) and fulfill your dream. One word of caution with the 7 of cups is not get cought up in it all to the point of self-delusion in order to make it fit your Heirophant side. Pay close attention to your shadow as it is really trying to bring you the balance you seek. Does any of this make sense? Or have I totally missed the mark here *LOL* Bec ... Happy holidays! DeLani it was your cards I was working with and adding some of Becs *LOL*. One intersting thing I found about your cards was that just as I lack Air in my chart you seem to lack Fire. I am going to revisit your cards tonight (taking out Becs cards that I added *LOL*) and will see what I come up with. By being the way I am as you described I am reaching to achieve the message that Bec got on a full-time basis (i.e. taming some of the Fire in my chart a bit). Both your personality and your soul card (Chariot) indicate this as does your Destiny Card (3 of Pentacles). You are a perfectionist. Your Inner Teacher (Queen of Pentacles) also shows me that you are dependable and productive. You are very "Earthy" with your Destiny, however your Zodiac Card (I believe is the Devil based on the similarity of Becs info and yours) would indicate that you need to focus in order to overcome temptation and retain your Mastery. By this I mean that you can become easily distracted and when you do you feel as though you loose that careful balance demonstrated in the Chariot and it could that it could cause disruptive and/or abrasive changes in your life (Tower - your Shadow Card). Jewel: I´ve been looking at your cards and when I got around a computer in the middle of my holidays I just couldn`t resist :D Here goes: How other people sees you: You´re a very outgoing and active person. You bring inspiration, are creative and intuitive. You walk with pride and have a very strong willfulness. You´re easy to be with, as long as you get your will ;) You´re the mysterie woman who seem to know a lot of answers to every question. You´re rightious and are always ready to put up a fight for justice. You hate unfairness. Your Potentials in life: you have the potential of developing your intuitive and psychic arts. The potential of doing excactly what you wanna do, with just a little fine-adjustment you could be the charismatic and strong "prince charming" who can bring life to other people´s dreams. You have the chance to get rid of duties and boring housework - cause when yo´ve reached your potentials these things are dine with ease and because you wnat to. Lessons in life: You may wanna work with your restlessness, it tends to get you moving in 100 different directions all at once. This maeks it very hard for you to finish what you´ve startet. You may wanna pay some attention to your pride as it could stand in your way of accepting failure as a gate way to a retry. Happy New Years All!!!! Oh Bec what a nice assessment of my darker side you have done ~giggles~ ... perhaps darker is not the work "fiery side" woudl work best. Truth is you identified many of the things I finally came to see in myself and have been working on for a while now. Amazing that when you focus on them you can tame them ~giggles~ ... I believe I am somewhere on the "cuppy" side these days *LOL*, very happy and have learned for the most part how to be politically correct when telling someone off *LOL*. Well actually I do not get in those situations very often at all, I am easy going and HATE confrontation ... but if pushed what is a girl to do? *LOL* And don't you cry about the constellations book. I am going to see if I can find it here locally, and if I do I will pick it up, you will send you your mailing address and we will get that book to you ... and yes I know you live in Europe and I don't care, no one should be deprived of precious Tarot books *LOL* (particularly not my study buddies). Great to have you back jewel :) Hope you had some qualy-holidays and entered the newyear with a fabolous bang ;) About books, I have recieved "Mirrors" it´s right here on my bookcase - but I would very much appreciate if you could some how get hold of "Constellations" - as said before it´s out of print (gods know why !!!) It´s sold out every damn place I´ve sourght. What´s next ??

Hiya Bec! In terms of what is next I suppose today would be a great day for me to go see if I can locate Constellations for you at one of our local book stores. I will call around and if they have it I will go pick it up and then e-mail you in the morning to let you know if I was able to get it for you. If I did then I guess I will then need your address to mail it to you ;) Besides that, I guess what would be most helpful is seeing where you and Kaz are with Tarot for Yourself so we can continue doing the excercises together and discussing them as we have been doing :) I have not worked at all with the Mirrors book so when we get to that we can all explore it together :) Love & Light,

Can we do a separate thread for each topic in this workbook, just as the 78 DW thing? This one is getting very long. New topic, any of you two did the entering of a card/meditation thing? What card did you choose and why and what were your experiences? Kaz

Kaz that sounds like a great idea (splitting the thread). Have you gotten your astrological chart done yet? As for our arrangement regarding the book, lets make sure I get them before we make any arrangements. Hiya Kaz and Bec! Ohhhh Kaz that is great that Bec did your chart!!!! The reason I asked was in terms of Chapter 1 of Tarot for Yourself and all of the correspondences :) ... I am not big into astrology either, my knowledge is very very basic and rough ~giggles~ but the interest to me in this case is its correspondences to Tarot cards as in Chapter 1. To answer your question regarding the entering a card I did!!!! It was THE COOLEST!!! I will have to get my notes tomorrow and post my experience for you guys and the card I entered. As for trading for a Dutch deck I would LOVE that!!!! Lets make sure I get your book before we discuss this furhter ... and Kaz ~giggles~ I would just hate to take your precious RW deck from you *LOL*.
