Cleaning cards

My problem is similar to Kiama's thread but I need an idea how to clean the borders of my ever-used RW deck.

They look pretty gray with use and somehow dirty and I would love to clean them but I do not want to use any heavy chemicals on it for fear that the cards may suffer. Any ideas what I can try?
