Greetings. Well, I'm not going to let you guys get away that easily! *lol* I'm still really excited about the idéa of a tarot convention, and even more excited imagining it being held in a forest in Naples. So Pollux, you're not backing out on me are you?? :) Let's make a list. All of you aeclectics who want to come to the Aeclectic Tarot Convention in Naples, 2003, please reply here. Then we can discuss how to go forth with this project. Maybe we can e-mail each other about this; seems more convenient rather than posting here. My best friend loves the suggestion, and is coming for sure. Great! Two people already. *l*

I should have been the first to reply to this topic, but I've been away from Aeclectic for a while, and I also believe I won't be able to be as present as I've been in past days - next Monday Sh@tty University Life will start a new Cycle :-( However, I can't deny you my views on it - you'll be coming at me! :D I'm happy you thought about 2003: I would have loved to make it THIS summer, but it wouldn't be possible probably to fix all the stuff to host you... Next year is perfect, so I have all the time to do things and all. I don't think I need to know how many of you will come - and even so, there's time... But surely I want to knw your intentions! :D My idea is for having it in Summer. The city is HOT, so we can have our cermonies with ritual nudity :D (a joke). The weather is perfect, the streets are "deserted", I mean, there's not as much smog and mess as in normal days... In addition, we'd be in touristic season, and we could take advantage of it. My little brain is thinking about so many things we could do!!! :-) First off, I think this could be a general organization: - in the morning, we stay at the "camp", discuss, relate and listen ( I wonder who's charging with lessons, relations and lectures... Kiama, you MUST have one! Maybe about nudity and SIZE in Tarots :D Just think about our chat session ;P ) - in the afternoon/evening, I could take you around, and sightsee. For example, I realy want to take you to Capri. In this case, we could hve our discussions there (there's a marvellous park entitled to Virgilio or someone else, I don't remember...). I would also like you to see Pompei, or Ercolano... You tell me, ok? I'm here, waiting for your requests. Accomodations: are we set on camping? I think it is possible in the Park, if I manage to get the permission; but first, I've to check out the positions and the presence of the toilettes (very important in camping experiences!) I'm closing... Hey fellows, I'm sorry but the golden age of Pollux ubiquity is over! I won't manage to show up as much as I would like! Also coz I found an Italian Forum about Wicca, and I really cannot miss that, you uderstand. Please, forgive me. Hear from me soon, I promise. Bye! :)

Ah! I was forgetting! We could organize a very good thing if we involved the authority, the Town, you know what I mean, and make publicity - if you intend to give readings to earn some money to fund yourself, well, I doubt you'll manage to do that, as not every neapolitan can speak english, and even less to a degree that can let them understand a mothertongue giving a reading... and in the Park we'll hardly see tourists to give readings to! :) We should tell the authority, so that they make a bit of publicity, and get people often going to the Park to us, for readings and all. The point is, we'd need interpreteers, and I only see myself, my sister (if she accepts) and Diana as speakers of both Italian and English. However, I wait for your inputs. :)

How exciting! I would love to make it but can not guarentee it. In 2003 I plan on being somewhere in the world other than Australia. My first choice is working in the UK (so many Aussies do that...) and seeing the rest of Europe from there... Maybe Naples could be first on my list? I have also considered being part of 'Camp America' and so I could be there in 2003... Maybe in time for the USA Aeclectic Convention? 2003 is going to be a year of adventures for me and a trip to Naples would definately fit that!

Pollux: You are an eternally shining star! KISSES!!! :* :* :* :* :* Well, it all sounds absolutely wonderful, and I can't wait! I definitely think that discussions and talks would be a great idea.. BTW: I assume we're all gonna bring our own tents? I also like the idea of having it in the Summer (Cuz I'll be off University then, so I'll have time!) and the warmth is always a good thing. (I have very poor circulation, and as such, my hands will go blue even indoors!) And Pompeii sounds great: I've always wanted to go there! We could also play loads of Tarot games... But, what are we gonna eat? Methinks it'll be barbeque every night! (Not that I have a problem with this, but for the vegetarians, it won't be very varied.. Veggie burgers every day doesn't sound very appealing!) Oh, and what shall I wear? Only kidding! Nothing, of course! ;p :-D Um.... Still only kidding! (Now, don't look so sad, Pollux! ;p ) Anyway, I'd love to hear everyone elses ideas... Kiama

Greetings. Bringing our own tents sounds like a good idéa, Kiama. :) And a sleeping bag. And a pillow. And a minibar. :-D Pollux: I love your suggestions, and I've also always wanted to see Pompeii. I sincerely believe we'll have a fan-tas-tic time if we go through with this! The summer is just perfect for me too, since I'm off school as well. Great. Wow, I'm so happy today! (In addition I bought the Hanson-Robers deck today, so ofcourse... :) ) Gotta go back to work now....

A Convention in Naples: sounds great... depending on what time of the year the convention manifests, I might be able to join in! For me, either around Easter or just past the Northern Summer Solstice would be best. But please decide on what you determine is best for people who are more locally situated, as I do not know what my local commitments are for next year yet. Camping accommodation is fine, but it would also be nice to know what other cheapish options there are.

Oh, oh oh!!! Great idea! We could also have a Tarot fancy dress evening whilst we're there! we can all dress up as a card... (But not too many Star cards please, or we'll be arrested for public indecency) and it'll be really fun! Oh, I'm so excited about this! And my Mum said I can go aswell, which is always a good thing... So, let's organise this ASAP so I can book my flight! Kiama *Who is so happy she's dancing*

I can't go at all this spring/summer, because I'm going to Thailand for two months. :-P I'm so exited about that. I went there the summer of 2000 and it was the most fantastic trip I've had! I also discovered that I have strong spiritual connections there, and that's always a plus. :) It'll be great sitting on a white sandy beach, reading to other backpackers. *always thinking practical* The summer of 2003 is just perfect. But guys, how many days should this convention last? I could stay for at least a week. When we're first going, we should stay a little while. Maybe I'll go backpacking the rest of Italy afterwards... ;D

aeonx (and anyone else interested): If you intend to go backpacking for the rest of Italy, I could come with you too!! We could go to Rome (love it!!! :) ), then Pisa, Siena, Florence... everywher you want to - daddy's got a caravan, and he'd be glad to take me all over with you! :) Backpacking is a good thing, so you can stay more - don't think it makes sense to come to Italy only for our convention, considered there's ppl from far away! :-) And we could keep the Convention going on the road! :) Kiama, you crack me up! I believe I'll dress like my King of Cups! :D

We should get to know each other better, if we're going to travel together. :-) Keep the convention going on the road? Why not, we can survive doing readings to people! *waving arms* I'm looking sooooo forward!
