thankyou to all who replied i am so interested in tarot. And i do really enjoy them. The cards i burnt were blue colour just from Asda. Since i burnt them though i have a nice set given by someone i did a reading for and i have another set which i bought, now that i know it is okay to have as many tarot cards as i want i will now enjoy collecting more and learning more about tarot i really enjoy this sight and think it is wonderful how warm and friendly people are who read and reply. i just wish i had alday to sit and learn more. but with the time i have i will be logged in and learning as much as i can to put under my wing so that i can fly again.. thankyou guys.....

not only am i am very new to tarot but very new at the internet so please bear with me. i cant remember who it was that asked me what tarot i burnt.... TAROT BY JONATHAN DEE which is the book which i still use because it is so easy. The cards i burnt because i was unsure of them and blamed them for my unluck were illustrated by Shirley Barker. The cards i am using are THE MYTHIC TAROT BY JULIET SHARMAN-BURKE & LIZ GREENE which is the book but i find it very long winded. The cards to match this are BY TRICIA NEWELL. As you may have gathered I always do things differently so Im using the book from JONATHAN DEE AND THE CARDS FROM TRICIA NEWELL is that ok

I think anyone in here will tell you that whatever works for you is fine :D

Hope you have fun with the Tarot. You might like to visit the Tarot Basics forum, where Thirteen has given meanings for all the different cards.

All the very best,

FH

Ohhh you will find several fans of the Mythic Tarot here on the boards :) If you are just starting out I would also like to make my standard recommendations of the workbook 'Tarot for Yourself' by Mary Greer, and '78 Degrees of Wisdom' by Rachel Pollock. We have study groups going on in the Study Groups Forum, so please feel free to come on by and join in on the learning and fun.

Love & Light,
