What a Herculean labor! bec your page is phenominal! No escaping it now, you're the Reversal Goddess! We shall burn little up-side-down offerings upon our altars to you in thanks for all your hard work and dedication. And it's in English! Hoooray! I was scared I was going to have to learn Dutch (it is Dutch, right?).
Maybe we should just do the book together. First half my right-side-up meanings, 2nd half your up-side-down meanings, third half a mixture of spreads that we both came up with.

You have done a great job Bec!
I really like the humour that comes through in your writing. Really easy to read and not to 'wordy'.
Maybe it will help me get over my fear of reversals and start using them... Thanks!

Just in case you're interested . . . I've actually done a little statistical analysis on the probabilities of reversed cards, majors vs. minors and so forth, and I thought I might share what I've come up with concerning reversals. Of course, the chance that any one card will come up reversed is 1 in 2 (50 percent), and the probabilities of various numbers of cards' coming up reversed in a multiple-card spread form a bell curve. About two-thirds of all possible combinations fall within one standard deviation of the mean; any combination that falls outside one standard deviation of the mean is unusual, and combinations that fall two or more standard deviations beyond the mean are very unusual.
Thus:
- In a three-card spread, it's typical to have one or two reversed cards, unusual to have 0 or 3.
- In a five-card spread, it's typical to have two or three reversed cards, unusual to have 1 or 4, very unusual to have 0 or 5.
- In a 10-card spread, it's typical to have four to six reversed cards; unusual to have two, three, seven or eight; very unusual to have zero, one, nine or 10.
If anyone cares about the corresponding probabilities for major arcana, I'll post those too.

Geenius: Very interesting!
Am I correct in understanding that those statistics are based on no attempt to shuffle upright?
It would be interesting as well to see the numbers for Major cards.

Right. They assume 50 percent probability of reversal.
Here are the figures for major arcana:
- In a three-card spread, one major is typical, zero or two is unusual, three is very unusual.
- In a five-card spread, one or two majors is typical, zero or three is unusual, four is very unusual, five is cause for astonishment.
- In a 10-card spread, two to four majors is typical, one or five is unusual, zero or six is very unusual, seven or more merits alerting the media.

Yeah, I'm serious. E-mail me (I'd e-mail you but it's been a crazy month and I'm in "Flake" mode where I forget to do things and mess up bad).
