What is the tarto deck in the movie the Red Violin?

Hello Forum mates,
I recently got the opportunity to see thel movie The Red Violin, which I thought was excellent. During the movie there was a Strega who read with a tarot deck I do not recognize. If anyone has seen the movie The Red Violin and knows the deck used please respond to this post and let me know. Thank you.
By the way if you haven't seen this movie you must do so!!

You know, there is a Tarot site out there that is nothing but Tarot in Movies and T.V. ...but do you think I can remember what it is called or it's addy?
Does anyone know the site I am talking about? This question is possibly answered there, and you'd be surprised how much Tarot in movies there really is!

it's been awhile since i've seen this movie (which IS great!), but i seem to recall thinking at the time that it was the Visconti-Sforza pack (or a similar deck).
also, was the tarot reader Strega or Gypsy?

I don't think "Strega" is an ethnic group. I think it's just the Italian word for "witch."

SummerRaine : sorry for you as on the site Diana mentioned (www.tarottotes.com), there is something about The Red Violin but they didn't give the name of the tarot deck used :(

i thought the deck might be marseilles. only majors were ever mentioned or shown close up. also, at the ending credits, each of the cards appears on the screen, but they are rather small.
