well, when you are here long enough eventually there are no new posts, oh the horror, so you have to say something stupid to get something new to read, right now i find it interesting that swords are winning, one of the most negative suits, and im the only one who said cups, one of the most postive suits :)

UAGHH!!!!! :( I forgot what I voted!!! :( However, it was between Cups and Swords. I have always been the Air-like type, light, wise-guy, smart, logic, quick and swift... But lately the growing process made me turn towards Cups, and their symbolism... Maybe it is due to my Planets in Progression? ;) And this is especially strong this days, as I am feeling so lonely and emotional and depressed...

I can't choose between cups and swords (written in alphabetical order, because I can't choose what to put first). Though I've been getting lots of pentacles in recent readings. Guess I need to be more grounded.

I just can't decide between Cups and Pentacles - it'd probably be Pentacles if I really had to pick. I love the sense of earthiness you get from them - must be a taurus thing!

If we are astrologically speaking and what notim really messed up, im a fire/earth cusp, I have a phobia of water (see chat board),yet cups are my favorite :) I thinkits more of the psychic nature that they represent to me than anything lol

I can't decide... They all have their own personalities... But It mostly a toss up between cups and wands. But maybe pentacles. The swords don't really call to me. I just can't decide. But i want to see the results... So i'll chose cups

Tough one and Cups won by a nose, simply because on the cards Cups lend themslves to so many symbolic options. Swords, I feel close to, because of their being associated with air and the intellect. Pentacles always feel like the "underdog" suit don't they? And I just have to root for the underdog. Pedeka

Cups seem to be in the lead just now. It's my favorite suit by far. I am always deeply moved when one of these comes up in my daily 1-card pull, especially the Ace. I relate intensely with the Knight of Cups, and count him my significator. Yep. I'm a cups person.

Even though they are mostly viewed as negative, I am drawn to the suit of swords, the element of air. In my natal chart, Gemini is in my 7th house, so yes, the intellect and knowledge turns me on. :D

I'm cups too. Just like Jade, I love to love, cry, feel, experience, emote. And even though I'm a Taurus, I usually feel more connected to the Queen of Cups than the Queen of Pentacles. Usually like :TQC art better that :TQP as well. Oh yeah, I drink 20 gallons of water a day, wonder if that has any subconcious effect... napaea :THP

:confused: i didn't see the check box for grey flannel-- so i went for cups :CL. i think a lot of my choice is from an aestetic point of view. i tend to visualize cups as pastel and light filled; always a happy joyous feeling. even if it doesn't bode well. my particular favorite card is the Queen :TQC. if i like the queen in a deck, i know i'll get along with it LVX (it is sort of liquid energy) steve

Swords :) I was originally going to put swords as my *least* favourite, since so many of the cards seem to be very negative (I wouldn't like a 10 of swords to turn up in a reading ;p). But after thinking about it for a while, I realized that swords are, for me, the most to-the-point of all the suits. (Pun not intended - sorry! ;)) They seem to have the most direct, in-your-face cards, and I really respect the suit for that - makes them stand out, in my opinion. o=||=======> LittleCub

I'd never thought about this before... not an easy choice to make! After thinking about it, I had to rule out Swords - they carry such a connotation of violence - working in law enforcement and having been in the Navy all those years - I've had enough of that! ;) Cups is what I decided on because they seem (for the most part) so peaceful to me and are connected to the spirit, creativity and so on. This sure made me think... OUCH! :D Trogon

I voted wands, but I, too, would have voted cups when I was younger. Hm, wonder what that means. Anyway, the choise was not difficult for me, a couple of days ago I did an experiment. I spread out all the minor (not the court cards) out in a grid, and picked 7 cards: 4 that I liked, 3 that I didn't like. I found that pentacles mostly leave me cold, I feel strongly about the wands (who turn up often in readings) and the swords really turn me off. : ) I also experience swords as being negative. In your face? Yeah, but also on your arse. Wands at least have the dignity to keep your self-esteem intact. *grin*

I voted Pentacles - for peace and protection. I think that earth/pentacles is the most undervalued element in both astrology and tarot. The poll shows that too... It's in fact highly spiritual. Just think of Buddha. Just imagine how the world would have been if all the spiritual people have been well grounded. I think we then would had great presidents and business-leaders.....people who would had taken down heavens wisdom (air/swords), love (water/cups) and power (fire/wands) to a well-grounded and practical use here on earth. The world would have been different.... We know what's right, we know how to do it......but we can't get it done... I guess all the elements/suits are equal important, and i truly believe that we all one day will find that balance and strength in all of them. Personally I wish I was more grounded. And I know that's my weak spot. Maybe that's why I voted pentacles..?

I agree Balder ... The pentacles are definitely underrated ! I've spent most of my life, so far, loving swords, cups and wands (in that order). I only just realised that the reason why my projects and ideas never flourish is because I don't have enogh Pentacle's ! For me Pentacles provide grounding and practical sensibilities ... the things needed to get the job done, but most importantly I also feel that they represent the impact and effect that our achievements have on us and our planet. ... so, after hesitating over cups and swords, I voted for pentacles.

I always check out the Knight of Cups in a new deck or on the internet. I do like the swords suit though - especially when they have a darkness like in the Fantastical. Yaboot

I have chosen Pentacles which I also use as an avatar. This is not because I am a double Virgo, Sun and Moon, which is an earth sign but because we live in a physical world where effort, sensation, accomplishment are primary anchors of advancement and growth.
