Three new cards in Major Tom's Tarot.
See our Kayne in the 4 of cups.
See my astrological chart in the Wheel of Fortune.
See Toby the Wonder Dog in The Moon.
My favorite card is always the last one I finished for this deck. I found Toby to photograph in The Crown hotel public bar - in Framlingham, Suffolk (most of the locations in the deck are Framlingham). His owner Simon has agreed to appear in the 7 of Swords dressed as a Poucher. I've known Simon for years. :)
The idea of using my astrological chart as the Wheel of Fortune came from my first ever tarot book The Magick of Tarot by Denning & Phillips which taught me that the original wheel of fortune is the zodiac. :)
When Kayne sent me his photos I got the strongest impression that the 4 of cups was the right card. :)

major tom, i haven't forgotten i told you i'd come up w/ a queen of pentacles. i've been so totally overwhelmed the past few months that it's just not been possible. yesterday, i excavated the living room and that alone is helping me feel more in control. next artistic project is finishing the aeclectic 10 of swords and then you. ok? sorry again w/ the delay but when i'm overwhelmed the artistic juices don't flow too well.

Truthsayer - The Truth is I owe you an apology...Faunabay is the Queen of Coins in Major Tom's Tarot. She'd sent me some photos - we were talking about the 9 of Coins - and somehow when I got the photos she became the 2 of Coins and the Queen of Coins! I plead artistic license! })
I'd still love to receive photos from you for inclusion on a card in the deck. :) But please, don't apologise for the delay....although, if I speak honestly, if you delay too long - you won't be in the deck at all! I'm that strongly motivated and therefore somewhat opportunistic to get this deck finished! It's taken me nearly two years so far and I'm just over half way...
So many of my friends here have sent photos and become cards - I do hope I can include all my friends. (are you listening Talisman?) :)
Tarotbear is 3 cards. In order of their creation: Temperance, 5 of cups and 8 of cups. A rather interesting reading for him I thought. Temperance was my choice the other two his. :)
Blue, Ahhh Thanks! *blushes with pleasure*

Major Tom, your deck is looking FABULOUS!!!!! congratulations!!!! I still just love that Devil card ~giggles~. Now these pictures you are looking for ... do you want them posed or do you take pics that are sent to you and work your computer magic?
Great Job!!!

Well, this is the first time I've heard about this one (also the first time I've seen it) and it sure looks very different indeed, unlike any deck I've seen so far. Truly a 'live' Tarot.
Which immediatly brings me up to my question; did you create it solely because of the fun in doing so (I read your site and of your ambition to do so) or has another purposes appeared in the mean time?

major tom,
i'm glad i asked. i've been catching up w/ life this week. i have some digital pictures i took a while back and just need to download them to see if there are any you might like. i understand what you are saying about hurrying up. while my intent is pure in wanting to help, life just doesn't cooperate sometimes. thanks!

Truthsayer - Thank you for understanding. Glad to hear you're catching up with life. I do know what it's like to fall behind yourself. LOL
Kayne & Kiama - Thank you. *chuckling*
Lion-O - Reasons for creating your own deck are manifest. :) People talk about 'finding a deck that speaks'. This deck speaks to me already - mostly about getting itself finished! LOL
Jewel - I work either way actually. The most economical way is to send me a photo you already have. :) Some people have sent me lots - 20 or more! posed specifically for a particular card. Some people have posted photos to me via snail mail - others via email. I all cases I work the computer magic. :)
