I was just wondering if two decks are kept in the same wooden box, will they get jealous of each other?

I keep all my decks together and I figure that when I am not around they are probably having one HUGE party! :)
Think if you had a room full of interesting unique people all with differnt views of the world what it would be like.

Only if you use one A LOT more than the other, but in the samebox, perhaps your decks are lovers, destined to live together hehe

Having just watched Toy Story, I had a vision of my decks whenever an Amazon parcel arrives.
Ordered around by the Emperors, all the knights carefully come downstairs, to see what I've got. Is it another deck? Will I (horror....) actually get rid of a deck? (haven't yet, always a first time) Is it a scary deck? (They are very nervous about any vampire stuff, especially Death cards who are sharpening the wooden end of any scythes they happen to have lying around.) Some of the pages of cups get all worried and become rather faint, so the Queens of Swords tell them sharply to stop messing around, not to be so wet, and to grow up.
The Knights report back. It's OK! The parcel contains the Art Nouveau deck with lots of pretty people. They're happy. Throw a party!

That would all depend on your visions / ideas about the Tarot decks. To me the decks are merely a tool, powerfull at that, but still just a tool. I can imagine that other people have completely other ideas about the deck(s).
Despite that I think you should just do that which makes you feel best. If you don't like the idea about 2 decks sharing one box then get them in seperate boxes; otherwise simply leave it as it now.

I find that if I use another deck more than my Dragon Tarot, it will get jealous. I really like that deck, so it is frustrating to me.

Well, I've discovered that if my Art Nouveau thinks I'm asking it the same question too often, it will get pissed at me and I have to smudge it to make up!

I love the post on the decks being viewed as the toys like on Toy Story interesting view of the tarot decks thinking about when a new deck comes into the home. He he love it!

I don't think decks get jealous but I don't keep my decks boxed together, some are in wooden boxes and bags but others are just in their own cardboard boxes, they are all stacked on top of each other but not together :) - I would be more concerned about the cards picking up cross vibrations - I wouldn't store the Hanson Roberts with the Thoth for example lol
All my decks are Rider Waite clones so they are all pretty much on the same wavelength :)

I agree entirely - they're tools to me too, but everybody has different views and you have to do what feels "right" for you.
I do love Aerin's "Toy Story" take, but like Emily I don't really have a system for my decks - I've go too many now and a lot of them stay in the boxes stored together. Some are in a wooden box and my "working" decks are in a medium sized bag that I can grab and take with me. I guess I daren't start worrying that any are getting jealous or I'd never use any!

Y'know, I remember when I was younger (About 6/7 yrs) iI would play with any objects, and pretend they were able to talk and interact with other objects.. Whenever a new toy came into the toy box, the other toys would have to say 'How do you do' and shake hands, and would have to help the newcomer get used to the place, and make them feel welcome.
I suddenly feel the urge to do this with my Tarot decks! Although I don't think they'd be too friendly towards any more decks, cuz they're all getting pretty squished in that small space... There's 6 new decks arriving soon, so they'll just have to make do with being squished until I can find som room for them...
Oh, I just wanna go play with them now!

Aerin, your post was absolutly priceless and I doubt I will ever view my decks again without cracking up *LOL*. My decks usually do not have to worry about being replaced, although lately I have made a couple of trades so they must be shaking in their shelves as I have been re-arranging them ... I am also in the process of slowly moving things over to the home I will live in once I am married in a few months, and I have taken several decks .... wonder if the others will attempt a resucue? They will be most relieved when they are reunited with their friends ~giggles~. Thanks for the humor and the visual :)

Thanks for all the appreciative comments on my vision :)
I've decided I'd better not buy any of my decks special little bags (they live in their boxes) or else war would break out until I'd bankrupted myself getting everyone one. They're going to have enough trouble when the
Sacred Circle
Motherpeace
Universal R-W (and what are the Original cards going to say about THAT?)
Faery Oracle
arrive. Hopefully not all together (feeling a little guilty)
