Are there any cards which you think represent your philosophy, view of life, etc?
Mine are:
Magician: Make the best use of what you've got. Do what you can.
Justice: Fight for equality, treat everyone fairly.
Star: Never give up. Shine you light for others to see.
World: Your life is a celebration of... Life!

I'd like to present myself as :TFOOL.
There is so much to learn in life and to experience. Although I don't consider myself a fool I do reconize the open minded approach to live, taking the step (realizing a possible danger) but just knowing the danger isn't there yet so worry about it in due time.
View of life would definatly be :TAP.
Focus on the results of doing things. Don't take things for granted but know more about them, learn them and don't be afraid to try and reach beyond them when possible. Summarizing I'd say dare to grow in life while being open for new experiences yet using some sense to seperate the flawed ones from the real ones.
Then there are only 2 remaining to complete the picture. These are my all time favorite :TAC and finally :TWOR.
When getting more and more into the Tarot (and these forums have helped a lot with that) I noticed that my potential has grown a lot. That there is something more to all this then simply drawing cards is something which I experienced yesterday then I tried a "quick reading" and it didn't work at all period. (too much haste etc.). All those experiences make me see the value and appreciate it. Hence the Ace of Cups.
And in the end... Well, I don't think I have to explain 'The World' or, as I favor it in the Mage deck: Gaia.

Definitely the Ace of Swords: I'm always the first one to point and say "the Emperor has no clothes!"

In terms of what I aspire to, I always find myself looking to the High Priestess. I have an insatiable desire for self-realization because I have an insane amount of baggage, hang-ups, and guilt, and finding the cores of these so I can reconcile with them will make me a more useful person. Also, to me the High Priestess represents the best possible balance between intellect and instinct.
I am very enamoured with the Six of Swords, probably because I feel like I have undertaken too few quests and arduous journeys in my life so far (in terms of physical travel and otherwise). And I lean toward the Eight of Pentacles, because I yearn for a time, hopefully in the near future, when I will be deep in the process of learning the trade I hope for.

:TFOOL - Just go for it!!!
I am about to leave this big island for Europe and my unplanned, go-with-the-flow philosophy on travel is directly derived from our wonderfool friend :TFOOL !

Whoah - fun one, but tricky...
Those who've peeked at my "profile" have seen I see myself as Queen of Wands meets Queen of Swords, and have bees surprised to find others do that too (at least that's how Itranslate my bosses comment about my combining fire and ice...!)
But how would I describe my philosophy in Tarot-terms..? (Do I even have one...?)
After thinking for a while, I think I'd have to say Temperance. Fire and Ice aren't the only polarities/opposites I carry around inside, it does take a lot to bring something useful out of what could very easily turn into chaos... And I'm not saying I'm doing such a terrific job at this, not always anyway...!
Then I always had this special feeling for Stars, and I love the Star card dearly too, for being a light in the dark, for being a friendly twinkle up there, when one feels all alone, for just being there and making me feel better about everything!
And of course, the Fool - which I allow myself to be more and more often, and I love every second of it! Freedom, saying "To hell with other people's rules!", being able to enjoy the moment. That wasn't an option for me a year ago, when I was constantly worries what people might think, and what I should do to make people like me (bahh - can't believe how _stupid_ I was!! :D )... Thank God that has changed!
Light and love!
Jenny :)

I see myself as The queen of wands. Big mouth ,warm hart and too much energy!
I try to life my life like The Star: Hope! I try to see the good things in other people and myself. ( believe it or not but seeing something good in myself is sometime's the hardest;) )

Kiama, interesting thread! :*
My outlook on life seems to change often... I actually can't say to have a definite one right now, there's still so much I have to go through, so many mistake I have to make, so many fortunes I have to celebrate... Life is continuosly working on me (I love my Scorpio Rising! :)). However, I'll try to give my input too...
(I'll add Astro-things, it makes it easier for me)
VI - The Lovers :TLOVE
This actually is a personal interpretation, being guided by my very own personal light is paramount. Truthsayer's sign, I guess, says "follow your bliss": I couldn't think of a plainer and more effective phrase... :)
To keep loyal to our self, and try to give as much love and light to others as we can. I think that, even though it is not apparent, this is my basic approach to life, my way to express myself (Sun-Sign Gemini!)
VII - The Chariot :TCHAR
I'll be brief with this: never stop! Always try to proceed forward, to progress! Try to master your life as long as you feel like it and always try not to be defeated ever before starting the fight. Trying is what really matters. (but remember that Lovers, and the personal flow come first! :))
IX - The Hermit :THERM
Searching makes as Human Being (not really finding!). Life is searching, learning, and also being honest and faithful to ourselves. I think that this card represents a better exemplification than the fool for me. I tend to be more patient and calm nowadays, less "I-want-it-all-and-I-want-it-now!", and try to taste and cherish life bit by bit... But I am definitely missing my recklessness!!! Grrr, This Saturn transit!!! :)
(MC in Virgo!)
XIII - The Death :TDEAT
(Scorpio) Changing is the key. I am deeply influenced by the symbols and "meaning" of this card in my outlook, they are quite alike. To shrink to a minimum, to the core-self; to narrow down to the smallest, most essential part, to the root. And then (Gemini) be ready soon after to explode and shine!
- Whoa! I am relieved! I said a Fool-like thing! :D
I'd love to add pipes and courts, but I can't decide! :) Maybe...
:TAS - Seek for balance, harmony and honesty.
:TAC - Seek for your soul! For Happiness and Beauty! Seek your Holy Grail! :)

I know the card that continually comes up in my readings: Temperence.
And I guess that's accurate: I have felt the need in my life to continually balance - work/play; emotions, etc.
And the High Priestess.
Court card way - I'm probably a combination of the Q. Pentacles & the King Wands....

I can't believe it took me so long to find some of these threads...I definitely need even MORE hours on this site.
I have used tarot cards as meditations and as tools for healing others and myself, but the cards I find the most complex are the ones I keep myself focused on, and find myself holding the aeon card (Universe) or the Death/Judgement...from various decks, often sort of snap out of some
revery and one or several of these will be in my hands, from some decks I don't even use much.
I first saw myself as the Page of Pentacles, when I was 13 and began reading the cards and found the Rider-Waite to say that the under 30 female with very dark hair and eyes is thus a Page of Pents. *LOL til my stomach hurts*
If I had stuck w/that book and that "stuff" I'd be done w/tarot long ago.
I felt I was a Q of Cups for the first few years, but in the Merlin deck I'm definitely the Q of Serpents (Wands)
And for the last five years, the Q of Swords, and the Ace of Swords is my guiding/invoking card, and a symbol that has actually helped me change some of my negative character traits, like feeling afraid of new people, and not
being able to focus on getting things done (procratinating).
I altered the Thoth Ace of Swords a bit, w/help from an artist friend, and had it tattooed on my outer left calf...about 11 inches long.
It has strengthened me in spirit and thought (mental determination).
NOTE: I can't find the kissy face smiley...not that I need it right here, but still...wonder how to find the rest of those lil guys (i'll figure it out eventually)
