I've noticed frequently that when I do a reading for friend, that the cards sometimes seem to spit, or fly out of my hands. At first it just seemed to be a fluke of nature, but now it seems to be happening all the time.Where do these flying cards go in the matter of reading a spread?Celtic Cross spread? Is it just an extra card after the final outcome? Also, now it happens when I'm using just a regular deck of cards.Any info. on cartemacy?

Greetings jakyle and welcome to the forum. :D
You ought to pay special attention to the cards that seem to 'fly' out of your hands when reading. Look at the card and put it back into the deck. If it now shows up in the reading, it's definately trying to tell you something. Even though it doesn't, you should try to see it in relation to the other cards in the spread.
If you loose many cards during almost every reading, I would suggest that you try to shuffle in a different way, keeping a firmer grip on the cards. :P
Good luck! :)

That happens to me too. I usually read them first, and then proced with the reading.

i imagine my deck saying to me:
okay listen up and listen up good. no, don't wait till the deck "feels shuffled", and don't distract me. put me down and listen!
... and then it spits a card at me.
:)
read these cards alone, as if it were a one card spread. if you already had your question formulated, it may pertain to the question. it's just as likely that the tarot is volunteering information it _particularly_ wants you to have.

If a card flies out while I'm shuffling I tend to use that card as the first in the spread...
I suspect there are as many different ways of dealing with this as there are people who have the problem. :)
However you deal with the flying cards - you should definitely pay attention. It's like they really have something they want to say to you.

Hello,
the cards that jump out while shuffling I understand as "No, it´s not me!". They represent what definetely is not the case and will not apply to the question.
Greetings,

Kimon- what an interesting way to look at it. It makes sense, too, although it is just opposite to how I do it.
I agree w/ most of the earlier remarks- esp the one that suggests you read these "jumpers" as a single card reading-
I am usually able to put the "jumper" (up to 3, after that, I'm using a really large, or new (slippery) deck, or I'm being plain clumsy) aside and read as a single card rrdg. . .and then after the spread is done -completely read in and of itself- the jumpers influence to the key cards in the spread are always a triple amplification of the spread's meaning overall.
Here's a question for all:
I have noticed that in doing readings for some of the same people over and over for years, that certain people get the "jumpers" during the shuffling and
laying of their cards, but other people I've read for over and over seem to never have the deck react in that way.
Do you all get the jumpers more often for yourself or with other people's readings?
*I get at least one, and usually a maj arcana, in each rdg for myself with the Thoth, and never with the Merlin deck*
(Aeonx- I admire that method or replacing it and almost daring it to show up again! I wonder if I can discipline myself to try that...)

All is One: it's exciting, I can tell you that! :P You ought to try it, the spread becomes much more interesting if the flying card shows up in the reading as well. *s*

Actually I have two new decks that are not consecrated, or read with at all
and I have a whole section of my looseleaf n-book for this one deck, the Gendron, where I'm trying to even out my really intense admiration for some cards and my muddled, mixed feelings about thelack of clarity and lack of
unity I feel when I hold the deck.
(If I'd known it was partially photographic images I wouldn't have bought it)
So I have a long list of things- thoughts- many I got from this site, about
ways I can approach a deck that does not have a strong root in my heart-yet-
without letting that affect any potential connection between the deck and myself.
I worked out two new spreads on the computer (the shareware cybertarot program is great for creating new spreads and saving them, just for point and click ease and the overall visual you get of the idea as you go) for use only with this deck
With luck, using new rituals and different methods will at least open me up to the deck . . . .your firm hand with the jumpers has been added.
Another week (and perhaps another deck purchased to take the pressure off the poor Gendron) and I'll be ready.

I have a particular 'throw/shuffle' that I do in which the goal it to find the card(s) that jump out.
I always pay special attention to any cards that make themselves known. I've also noticed that at times my deck won't shuffle properly and i know that means i have to readjust what i'm trying to do.
I can see how one my wish to ignore the jumpers as well, i would pay close attention and get a feel for it, rather than assuming one way or another if you're unsure.
