In Praise of US Games!!

Well, I got a Universal Waite deck a couple of years ago, and the deck itself is in great condition, but the box has seen better days. You see, I like to keep my decks in the original box they came in, and the box for the UW was in poor shape. I threw it out, and was feeling kinda down, cuz I had nothing to put it in. Then I saw Kiama's post about her Rohrig tarot that did not have a 10 of wands. She emailed US games, and they agreed to send her one. So I thought, What the hell, I have nothing to lose, so I emailed them. and they promised to send a replacement box for my deck!!! They really are a great company. I thought that I would share this!

oh dear, I think you've got me mixed up with someone else! I remember someone (DeLani? Faunabay?) saying they had got their missing cards from US Games... I have emailed the Bluetstar Publihsing company of the Rohrig, but haven't heard anything back from them.. *Crossed fingers* US Games are very good, and I have no doubt that they wil send anybody a replacement box or card... Hope the same's true for Bluestar! Kiama

It was me!! I was missing a card in my Gendron deck. They had it to me in about 3 days!!!! Talk about quick help. :)

Oh but I just remembered! Delani had a deck missing some cards and they sent them to her too. So Kiama was actually right with both of us. LOL

i just e-mailed US games myself trying to convince them to send me a 2 of pentacles from the Ukiyoe Tarot Deck since i live in sweden i don't get my hopes up too high though. but it would be very neat if they could send it to me! after all - most of my decks are US games decks...

Earlier today I had posted here to not even bother contacting the Publisher of the Cosmic Tribe (my Fool card has a printing flaw) because they would not respond ... well they do not respond to e-mail that is! After e-mailing Stevee Postman (the deck creator) to let him know that I had done as he suggested and contacted the publisher to no avail I decided to call them on the phone (which I did not see on their web-site but Stevee had given me), I called and ~drum roll~ They are sending me a whole new set at no cost, ships tomorrow!!!! ~does the happy dance~ Now I will have 2 Cosmic Tribes ~giggles~ ... seems like my favorite decks end up in pairs (I also have 2 Robin Woods ... long story not a publishing problem *LOL*). At least when one wears out I will have a back-up in good condition!!!

I may have to write to them about a new box for my husband's Thoth deck. He got it last Weds, took it to school with him on Friday, and the box promptly disappeared! He thinks perhaps that a student may have taken it, thinking they were getting the deck (didn't they notice it didn't weigh anything?) or maybe they just liked the box. Or perhaps my husband just misplaced it. I'll wait a few days to see if it shows up, then maybe write to US Games about a new one. Thanks for bringing this up! I would have never thought to ask about replacement boxes!
