I must really type fast, my internet provider keeps cutting me off!!The thing is, I have this thing about Tshirts...I have tshirts to express my feelings and opinions etc,,I have Dali tshirts(artistic me)...|Tom Waits (musical me)...Bike tshirts (fun me )...My question is what tshirt would you buy to express the Tarot you..I would but the Fool...does anyone know of a company selling Tarot tshirts?

lunalafey  19 Apr 2002
I have not seen any shirts with Tarot on them, that would be really cool. I'm involved in the clothing industry(smallsmallsmall) but that's something I should look into. I reciently got a request for Batik work, that's where wax is used to outline a dyed image. I have all the knowlege and the supplies, just not the experience, I wonder If I should experiment....

Why not do batik work with tarot as the subject?

There are marilyn manson tarot t-shirts :OL :THIER .

I have made my own t-shirts :) It is really easy if you have a colour printer... you can get iron-on transfers that you can print directly onto, then iron onto a white cotton t-shirt. The result is pretty good although never quite looks the same after it has been washed.
Pick out a good, clear example of a card you like on the net and print it off :D

Kayne, you are always full of good ideas! I have some of this paper for my printer and it looks really professional!
Original Destiny- that is also a really great idea, just imagine if everyone had to pick one card and wear it for a day! You would get an instant insight into how that person felt or perseives themselves! It would also help to learn the cards if you could conect a friend you knew with a card to identify with!
I'm training to become a textile designer I love concepts like this.
Great ideas peeps, keep them comming!!!

Normally Id say High Priestess, but obviously really Id need the entire collection of 78, so I can really tell the world what Im feeling that day, and a divinatory meaning could be printed on the back.

:THP

The batik idea sounds *really* cool - like the High Priestess in all purples and blues, etc. The Fool could be rainbows of color, the Magician in reds, blues, greens - The Empress in "earth colors" or pinks - this is too cool!
Let us know if you do them. I'd order one!

Why not do what Kayne says, but instead of just one card, pick out your faves and lay them in a spread - almost like a spell. IE pick the cards you'd like to see in a position of you fave spread. You could then wear this t-shirt like a talisman!!!

WHY didn't I think of that!..really good Idea..thanks..:TFOOL

Yes, I like that spread idea....
DeLani, Eventually I get to doing some batik, I am still unpacking
from my move and I also have 3 years worth of stuff in storage.
I'm not sure exactly where my supplies are...but when I get around to doing it I'll let ya' know. I have been thinking about it alot and it may be easier to order and use some other types of resist. They are gold or black, sometimes red and I think it would add so much more to the image. These resists would also give the image texture, I do believe. Like I said before, it's an art that I am very familiar with, just have not done it because of priorities.

WOW! A wardrobe full of 78 Tarot t-shirts! But, what if you felt like an Ace of Cups AND a World that day?! Woud you have to wear two t-shirts??!!

How about... (This is a simpler idea...) Tarot underwear! Both male and female.... And Tarot socks! They would be so cool!

I've been making my own t-shirts for years now - batik, tye-dye, fabric pens, transfers or combinations of methods. Two of my favorites are tarot based. One is the Sun and the other the Moon. })

By summer I'm hoping to be offering tarot t-shirts for sale via a website however, if any member of our community would like something specific - send me an email.

Lunalafey - I'd be interested in hearing more about other types of resist - including sources. Batik is very nice but so time consuming that the price I have to charge is more than most people are willing to pay for a t-shirt.
