I want to do some readings for other pepole other then family or freinds. How can I go about letting others know what I can do. I've always wanted to read for others i dont know, but you know how people can be.
Lots of pepole that dont understand Tarot fear it and they want nothing to do with the reader. What should I do, Im open to anything!
Thanks

Hi Menmay,
You can probably start here in the forum if you like, just offer to do a few readings for others. As for doing readings for strangers in your local area I'm not sure what advice I could give you because I don't have any answers myself. Perhaps a newspaper ad? Well anyway, good luck.
Sincerely,
Jessica

Hi!
I asked the exact same question a little while back, I enclose a link to that thread here: http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2613&highlight=tarot+closet Maybe you can find some feedback there!
As for myself, I decided (after that thread - hm, maybe you shouldn't read it after all...! :D) that I don't feel ready for that step just yet. So until I do feel "ready" (is one ever - for anything??) I'm trying to do readings here, in the Exchange section, and also help out in the Your Readings section.
But if you feel you should get "out there" and do readings, of course you should! I hope you find a way to announce your arrival in the official readers' world!
I wish you lots and lots of good luck!
Light and love,
Jenny :)

I started reading when i was a junior in high school, I found that reading for my classmates and co-workers helped a lot. you might also try advertising in a newspaper, or finding a locally owned shop that wouldn't mind if you set up in their location.
Hope that helps

If your local shop isn't interested, you could ask them to post a flyer. Or maybe you could be a weekend reader there or something to that effect. You could also make up some "business" cards and have your family and friends distribute them to people they know! Or, you could throw a Tarot Party, invite your family and friends, and ask them to bring someone along!

A great place to start is a coffe house.

This is true. Don't worry about these people - they don't bite much... })
There's some good suggestions here. At the end of the day you just have to go for it...
