need ideas on small spreads don't know many

hi all need some ideas on small spreads to get me tuning in properly (just basic ones) i know celtic and the wish 7 card spread and a couple more but need some basic ones , ones that are pretty straight foward thanx

thanks umbrae very helpful i shall try them right now. i am unsure though on the "options" one and the mind body and spirit one. what do you ask of the cards? if not a question. TQC

Start simple...(a couple of the links provided you were wonderful...later)...start small... Past present future.... Ask anything....Don't ask "What will my boyfriend be doing in a month" Because now the reading is about the boyfriend and not the sitter (third person readings don't work well). How far back is past? how far future is futrue? It's different for everybody! there is only one way to find out. pick up the cards and start doing
