This is a discussion of your month of April, as expressed through the daily cards. In working with daily cards & recording the results, one can learn to define particular cards in relation to the self, to the environment or other aspect of the life.
The messages may appear as appropriate, timely, puzzling or obscure. The latter two can be more significant than the ones that speak, indicating areas/cards to explore or to work on.
So y'all: how were *your* cards indicative or not of April?

First started to do daily readings in Mid April,
I have to say that daily readings for me can be very puzzling.
I have looked back over my journal, some days are quite clear, others I just cannot relate the cards to the days events. I always draw three cards for the day and more often than not two of the cards meaning apply to my day and one doesn't.
For example:
Thursday 25/4/02
Judgement, 9 of Cups and 8 of Swords
It was a public holiday that day so didn't have to go to work. My day went as follows....slept in as was very tired from work, relaxed around the house, tidied up caught up with chores etc, studied tarot for a few hours, spoke on the phone to a friend of my about problems with our boyfriends, didn't go out to dinner as planned as it was pouring with rain and none of my friends (including myself) wanted to venture outside. Very mundane day, not what my days are normally like at all
Now I can understand the 8 of Swords card as that is what I felt like at the end of the day, stuck in my own mind and a bit depressed. But Judgement and Nine of cups baffle me!!
Friday 26/4/02
Lovers, Page of Swords and Two of Pentacles.
Was lucky enough to have a RDO, so wasn't at work again :)
Went and saw my doctor in morning, then treated myself to coffee, and went shopping for gifts for my friends, was feeling very happy, then met up with two friends for coffee and a drinks that night at a place called The Pier, right on the beach, talked for hours about men and dramas everyone was having.
Now, for that day the cards make more sense to me, the two of pentacles represented to me my friends and I weighing things up, determining our values, as with the page of swords, really using my mind, new messages coming through and the Lovers showed the real essence of the day. Firstly me thinking about my relationships with my friends and family, feeling a sense of love and excitement when shopping for special gifts for them, then the dicussions about relationships later in the day.
Do others interpret their cards in a similar way?

Kitty: I read your Judgement as the holiday or day off work. One of the meanings for the card is "reward".
9-Cups is having the day all to yourself to do with as you please.
Also encompassing all the activities you were involved in voluntarily (maybe not the housework).

I've had a few cards coming up in almost all readings I've had, either by myself or others.
They are: King of Cups, Six of Cups and Ten of Rods. The Six of Cups have haunted my readings for a long time though. The King of Cups started showing up in the beginning of the month, together with the Ten of Rods.
I'm not quite sure of the King of Cups yet, and whether he's a person or not.
I think the Ten of Rods signify that I'm putting too much energy in to my relationships; that I need to relax and take things as they come. As for the other part, I think they're feeling burdened and that it's too much for them for the moment.
The Six of Cups often apply to the other person. They are maybe still hung up in past relationships, refusing/having problems letting go of the happy memories of their ex-girlfriend.
To figure out of the King of Cups, I'll try the Zodiac spread Thirteen suggested. Maybe this will clarify his recurring behaviour. :)

Aeonx: Aside from King-Cups referring to those qualities in you that may be at the forefront at this time, it may relate to those aspects in someone else; the type of person you are looking for or at. It can also refer to a situation. Court cards can describe the stages of a situation, with the Page being the beginning, so on.
6-Cups oft refers to past experiences, memories or a relationship but the associations need not always be pleasant. It may indicate a preoccupation with something in the past; a "hang-up"; carrying emotional baggage.
As for 10-Wands, I would rely on the initial impressions such as you have described as those are usually the most accurate.

MeeWah: the other day I went through my old readings, from June last year. I found the King of Cups in five of them... and most often in the 'me'-position. I almost freaked out when I saw him again and again. *l* So actually he's been in my readings for almost a year... Now I understand even less!
Hopefully the Zodiac spread will clear it up for me. :)

Aeonx: Any card that appears in the querent/self position is usually indicative of an aspect of same. It or its repetition represents you as you are at the moment of the throw; or acts as a "significator".
It can be a suggestion or encouragement to you to be as a King-Cups. It is representative of a quiet power. You may be interested in being of service to others, to share of your knowledge.
It may represent getting in touch with one's emotions rather than avoiding them. The King-Cups can be isolated from others, the exterior world or be too self-absorbed.
It can also refer to duality.
Following the positions it falls in other than the self position may indicate a certain progress or development.
Other than that, I hesitate to interpret a card out of the context of a spread without knowing the surrounding cards which may modify the card in question.

That's interesting. In the earlier readings he always ended up in the 'me'-position, but he's started to show up in the 'advice'-position lately. I can't remember, I have to go through them again.
I've done the Zodiac spread, and if you want to take a look at it, it's here: http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?threadid=3888
