Forming the Question for yourself

I am new to tarot... Sometimes I just want to do a reading for myself just to have a quiet time of introspection but I don't know exactly what the question is. I prefer spreads to a single card because I want to learn how the cards interact with each other. I try to pick a detailed spread but sometimes I just don't get what I'm looking at... Is there a good general spread or "your life right now spread"? Perhaps something that will bring to consciousness problem areas you aren't aware of? (I would prefer a simpler 5-7 card setup.) My other questions would be: IF you don't have a well-formed question, is the answer to use a specific spread? Or is it better to concentrate and find a question so that you are giving the cards direction? TIA for your help/input!

Hi Molly, It's nice to see you, I have a spread that i altered a bit to suit this very thing "what is happening around me at the moment" just keep saying that over in you mind or out loud, it's up to you really, while you shuffle then deal the cards whichever way you want to or that feels right for you, then lay them out this way, It is a 7 card spread, ..........................[3]............[4]............[5] ..........................[2].............................[6] ..........................[1].............................[7] 1 - Home/Family 2 - Work/career 3 - Relationships 4 - Acheivements 5 - Energies around you 6 - Money/Property 7 - Lesson to be learned Give this a go, I am sure you will like it. I use it all the time as my first spread for a reading, as it gives me a little insight about the client and what is happening around them (which helps when procceeding with the rest of the reading) I hope this helps you Cheers Kazz :TQC
