Hello all!

I uploaded more cards...
http://w3.mivlmd.cablespeed.com/~cploomis/

But now I am stuck with my sword cards. I just realized swords suite are very hard to be happy cards...The more I draw the more I saw myself standing in the "adult" position judging myself...

Pollux  20 Jun 2002
Well, I didn't respond to your first post...
Now I have checked all the site.

All I want to add is one of my kisses :*

LOVE AND LIGHT! :)

wavebreaker  20 Jun 2002
Roja, it's wonderful!!

I think both Death and the Tower are wonderful! And the Page of Cups, as a scuba diver I just have to love that one! ;)

So when was it going to be published, did you say? ;)

merri  20 Jun 2002
Roja, WOW!!! I hope you do realise what a talented artist you are ..these cards are absolutely begging to be published.

I love the little owl on your ace of swords :) ..and well there's just so many original ideas in your art. I think it's so clever how the image of your tower card portrays the meaning so effectively ..yet wouldn't give some poor kid nightmares.

What a tribute to your Mom!
..Keep up the good work!

Best Wishes!

What a lovely deck, Roja! I don't normally go for 'cute' decks but this is so much fun!

I understand it is a tribute to your Mum, and if her personility was anything like the spirit of this deck, she must have been a wonderful person! :)

Kaz  20 Jun 2002
lovely ace of swords :-)

Kellinator  20 Jun 2002
Oh Roja, I love it. I love all the detail and color and little surprises. And I actually find that the sad cards you've done so far -- Death and the 3 of Swords -- work quite well for me.

And is that you at your computer in the 8 of Pentacles, working on the Moon card?

Kelly

Roja  20 Jun 2002
Yeah Kellinator, that's me alright. :)

Jeannette  20 Jun 2002
Roja: This is an incredibly touching, sweet deck you're creating. What a lovely tribute to your mother; I'm sure she would have been so proud! Anyone who has been following the thread on children and tarot should take a look at these cards -- they're perfect for children of all ages.

Did I miss mention of this on your previous thread, or am I correct in assuming that "Manzanita" is Spanish for "Little Apple?"

Roja  20 Jun 2002
Correct! :)

My mom's name means beautiful apple. So naturally, I want to name this deck little apple for her...

Hee hee hee, everything all has a little bit of story behind...

Kyrie Blue  20 Jun 2002
Wow, you are doing an incredible job on your deck! Your aces are beautiful as are all the cards. The images are wonderful depictions!...I am so impressed!

Faerie Lin  20 Jun 2002
Roja, you definately put the "cool" in "cute". No doubt about that. If you did your own cartoon series I would so watch it!!!!!!

PS. Your mom is beautiful, I am sure she is so proud of you.

Lin

Roja  20 Jun 2002
Thanks Faerie Lin,

I would like to think she is watching over me now and say, "tsk, tsk, tsk, I would move this circle over here!" :)

Sam  20 Jun 2002
i want it i want it i want it i want it i want it! (does this express how much i like this deck, becuase i could go on for hours about it!)

aeonx  21 Jun 2002
Roja: Your deck is truly a masterpiece. With the story attached to it, this deck really means something. What a dedication! I honor you for that. :)

I especially like the Lovers, which is my favorite card for the time being. I simply love the two rabbits sitting together with their ears entwined! What an absolutely adoring picture!

I wish you all the luck further on. And I'm still looking forward to the completion on this wonderful deck. :)

I really like how you've developed your website. :D

Very impressive! Are you indeed considering trying to publish?

Roja  21 Jun 2002
Major Tom:

Although I want to but am going to leave it up to "chance". Thinking too much of that now just makes me anxious (too much of an ego trip). I want to finish this in my own time and only when the images come to my mind one at a time, let's just say, let my heart do the drawing and not head.

Thanks.

Bella  21 Jun 2002
Roja;
Your cards look beautiful--your mom would be proud!

I may have missed something somewhere, but I was wondering, what medium are you using?

napaea  21 Jun 2002
Wow...these cards are sooo coool! :*

I love them all, but really love the tower...you're little guy only has one shoe on and has no idea what's about to hit him. I love the concept. And death just made me want to cry, but it's such a nice card, so much less intimidating than others. Yeah, I totally concur, this is a must have!

Hi Roja,

I've just been looking through your cards, my five year old son has just fell in love with them lol - I think they're pretty amazing too - its a real 'feel good' deck. A lovely tribute to your mom :)

I totally understand this.

Nonetheless - if this is in the back of your mind - send me an e-mail })

Starfish  21 Jun 2002
Roja -

I absolutely love this deck! And I'm in total agreement with Sam - I want it, I want it, I want it!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will get published!

Oh, Roja! You've added some more cards to your site, they are just so lovely, all of them! I haven't seen Justice before, but I loved it immensely! I sent the link to a friend of mine who I have just discovered is reading Tarot too (and I had NO IDEA!! - how weird is that!?), and she loved it just as much as I!

So just as an encouragement, I completely understand what you're saying in the above quote, I just wanted you to say that when this deck is published, you will have at least two customers in Stockholm...!

((((((((((((((((((((Roja))))))))))))))))))))
A biiiig hug of encouragement, inspiration and appreciation for your beautiful work!

Light and love,
jenny :)

Liliana  24 Jul 2002
I meant to praise this decka long time ago but just couldnt find the time to type all the words to express how much I adore it, it makes me so happy, its just so chibi (Japanese word meaning cute)

I love your new hermit, with the clocks in the river, a throw back to when the Hermit was depicted as Father Time, and Justice, and the Fool, and.....

The implications of the Devil card, absolutely genius, giving it a minorly disturbing feel yet not scary so even your youngest child would get what its about without nightmares, so brillant

As is the Tower, perfect analogy, couldnt be better

And thats without even getting into the minors, I cant wait to see this deck finished, I definately want to buy a copy of it

Roja: I check your website every now and then to see whether you've added new cards and you keep surprising me with the wonderful cards you are creating!!

Whenever you decide to publish it, I'll want one! ;)

Laurel  24 Jul 2002
I was absolutely stunned when I saw your deck today, Roja. Its a beautiful tribute and completely captures the essence of childhood, including the trials and tribulations. I don't collect mass quantities of decks (although this forum is causing me WAY too many temptations *g*), but I too would purchase a copy from you if it was available.. not just because the cards are pretty, but because of all the love you've invested.
