Well, I finally bit the bullet and ordered some of the bags from www.tarottotes.com that I've been wanting for ages. My four favorite decks will have new homes!
I picked:
** the Illumination bag for my Matt Myers Art Nouveau (plus a matching spreadcloth)
** the Nimue bag for my Legend: Arthurian Tarot
** the Mage's Cave for my Gendron
** the Affirmations bag for my Rohrig
plus a Celebration bag, because it was on sale.
What are some of your favorite deck-bag combinations?

I have the Nimue bag too for my legend arthurian and its is soooo perfect!
My secret tarot( lo scarabeo ) rests in the radiant red rose.
I have one more bag from tarottotes but i have now deck to go with it yet.
Its is the nigth glow, just liked the way it lights up in the dark. It reminded me of some toy's i used to have as a child :)
BTW love your combinantions especially the Rohrig, you gave my an idea :)

I got the Nimue too and I can tell you, it's even more beautiful in reality than on the picture! :)
I have also got the Celtic Dream, which I use for my Glastonbury, and the Lion's Mane, which I use for my Old English.

I recently got a dozen (yes, a dozen!) bags for my various decks, including:
Triskele for the Celtic Wisdom
Vila the Shapeshifter for the Thoth
Lotus-Chakras for the Cosmic Tribe
Endless Celtic Knot for the Fairy Wicca Tarot
Classical Goddesses for the Mythic Tarot
Dancing on the Waves for the Druid Animal Oracle
Shakespeare's Cloak for the Secret Tarot (former the Renaissance Tarot) by Jane Lyle
I also like how some bags are wider to accomodate bigger decks.
Peace,
Melvis

So glad to hear that everyone likes the Nimue! I ordered on Friday; Saturday I noticed that Nimue was out of stock. I'm really hoping my order got filled before then -- I don't want to wait! I mailed my payment Friday night so I'm hoping to have them very soon. I'm glad you all like my choices! It's so hard to guess what will go -- but fun!

I got my bags only a week after ordering (it would have been even faster if I'd paid with a credit card). They are perfect! Just gorgeous, and so soft. And my deck/bag combinations turned out really well. I'll defintely be ordering more!
I especially like the price and selection. For most of the bags I paid between $5 and $6. The bags available locally for that price are cheap-looking and flimsy, and nice bags are $15-$20. For what I would have spent on two of those, I got five and a spreadcloth! :D

Kellinator -
I received my bags too! And I love the way the decks match up well with the bags I've selected. I ordered 3 more (for my new Merry Day, Whimsical and soon-to-be-arriving Gill).
I definitely recommend Tarot Totes, too! Great prices, service and products.

Liliana -
I paid $2.00 shipping for 3 bags for my first order; $3.50 for 5 bags (2nd order).
It's about .75 shipping per bag (no handling charge). And I paid via Visa and received it with 4 days of placement of my order (they are in California, I'm in Michigan).

Unfortunately, their shipping rates to the UK are quite horrendous: a $11 bag came to $34 inclusive of shipping!
Nice though they are, that's rather more than I am willing to spend on a bag, so unfortunately Tarot Totes are out of my reach. :(

Maalin,
$34? Ouch!!!!!! :'(
That's more than I'd be willing to pay for a bag, too. I always seem to be amazed at the prices of overseas shipping...and I never understand why it costs so much. I guess it's because I really don't understand all the process and costs incurred by the shippers.

Wow, that's a lot!! I paid about $8 shipping to the Netherlands (for 7 bags).
What I didn't understand though is that they packed the bags in a big box, filled with lots of filling material and somewhere in between was a small package with the bags in it. That package could easily have fitted into a padded envelope, which would probably have been cheaper to ship.

So where is this Nimue bag on the Tarot Totes site? Everyone raves about it, but whenever I go there I can't find it.
I mean to place an order there, but I need time to finalize my bag-deck matches, and those keep changing!

The Nimue bag used to be in the "Celtic" section in the catalog, but I can't see it there anymore. Looks like it's sold out (probably because of all these Aeclectic tarotholics ordering it... ;) ).

I got the Receiving Mixed Messages bag, and even had her Reiki it.
I wrote her and asked if Rohrig would fit and she said no, but the deck kep arguing that it would! Females know how that goes, the outfit we really want is a size too small and through postive thinking we fit ;)
Well Rohrig fits fine in it, and it came wrapped in really cool sun and moon tissue paper, also came wit a little pamphlet that has the date the reiki was channeled handwrittin on it, says how to take care of the bag.
Tho the Mixed Messages are odd, have something to do with college lol

What does the Mixed Messages bag say on it? I know it's like snippets of newspaper, but do any of the "messages" make sense? Are they random phrases, ordinary words, metaphysical words, or what?
I think the Art of Tarot cards they sell at Barnes and Noble would be good with this bag -- they have printed pages in their collages.

I thought Receving Mixed Messages matched Rohrig well because Rohrig has torn paper with writing as part of the image on every card, its sometimes hard to see that detail on online scans of Rohrig but I love it.
Anyway the messages are done odd, since part will be typed and then it will go into what looks like illegible handwriting, then back again, but part of the typed stuff says (..... are areas of unreadable handwriting)
your.....or daughter at c....that first day
During his Junior Year in........
variety of tech....and...the...into my style..client best
So obviously the print has to do with going to college, and with a little imagination you can fill in a lot of the blanks to know what it is saying, but it has little to do with Tarot hehe

Wow, I really love that "Guinevere's World" fabric. It's listed under the celtic section. I wish they had a matching spread cloth for that one. It's really perfect for the LAT I think... may get this one eventually.

I just won a tarot tote!
I'm absolutaly thrilled! I have been thinking of buying one for a while, but I was worried about how much the international shipping would be.
I was allowed to select any bag I wanted and I chose the Bedazzled one. It's bright and fun, it was a tough choice between that one and the Vampires in the Courtyard. I guess I'll just have to buy that one :)
Cheers

Why do y'all have to get me into this Tarot-Totes-thing, now that I'd stayed away for so long...!
But when Tarotlady said PayPal is great for paying Tarot Totes orders with, I figured if I have to get PP I might just have a peek at Tarot Totes... And - GOSH! Those bags are beautiful...! I've found LOADS that would be great with my decks...!
Dammit! Will I ever be normal again??

What does CCourt of Amber and Artistic Expressions look like? Dont have them anymore at tarottotes

Heck, I'm buying extra bags because I like them -- I don't have decks for them yet either.
It's a variation on "if you build it, they will come" -- if you get the bag, the right deck for it will come along eventually.
Then again, the decks march into my house on a reguar basis anyway, bags or no bags. :)
And there's free U.S. and discounted foreign shipping until the end of the summer!

Artistic Expressions is a design in peach, burgundy, turqoise, purple and green. It is a pattern of circles with lotus looking flowers in the middle and little triangle designs in between the circle design. It almost looks like a pattern of stained glass window and goes perfectly with the backs of the Hanson-Roberts deck.
Court of Amber is another pattern design in greens, gold, blue, burgundy and goes perfectly with the tapesty work of the Zerner-Farber deck. It has paiselys in it.
Unfortunately, it seems that when she runs out of stock of a current bag style some become discontinued.
I liked the ones you mentioned though and I've already looked at which bags I'd like match with my tarot wish list....hehehe.

Hi Pollux
I submitted an entry in the Tarot on Television section of the website. Every month they give away one bag to the entry with the most details like the character who used the deck, the actor, what deck etc. Check out the website, I think the page is Tarot in Film or Tarot on TV, something like that :)
Cheers
