There have been a lot of threads lately asking about everyones favorite cards and it set me to wondering.
If you took your favorite card for the whole 78 cards from different tarot decks would you end up with your perfect tarot deck or would it be just a muddle?

I think this would be a bit difficult as there are round decks, oversized decks, mini decks, etc.

It would be a muddle. I'm not very good at shuffling as it is, I'd be hopeless at a hodgepodge.
Not to mention I'd have a whole suit worth of Magicians and Moon cards. :P

Just a muddle, even if i copied and printed them to all be the same size all the artistic styles would clash far too much for me to get anything of use.

i've thought about this before, too! i think it would be fun. :)
i'd have trouble though, as i'd be able to see "oh that's an Ukiyoe back so it must be either the star or a queen..." i'd keep shuffling until i had cards i _wanted_ to get at the top of the deck. maybe that would be okay?

Well you could start by taking one each from Tarot.coms browse deck section I suppose

I think I would try it, if I had lots of free time, it sounds really interesting. This would have been a great project for me when I sprained my ankle two years ago, LOL. (I really like messing around with paper arts).
I would want to glue/laminate the artwork onto a generic backing, and possibly manipulate the images so they were (somewhat) uniform.
I think, if with the right decks, and cards, you could end up with a very personal and easy to read deck.
