That IS pretty. Unfortunately I have yet to find a moon card that I really like. Yes, I apprieciate that they all convey the meaning well, but all the ones i have seem to be very waite inspired and are all basically the same.
I haven't seen one that appeals to me on the beauty level yet. Nor one that holds any extra imagery value. :(

i love the tarot nova moon:
it's a big full moon with a crescent moon superimposed on it, and an owl flying just beneath. i think the owl conveys the meaning of the card better than the wolves/crayfish... he flies on silent wings, and oh those eyes...

Mine is the Phantasmagoric Theater moon card!!!
The Moon is at the Lunar Bar drinking, his mind full of mind-altering substances. There is a puppet lying in front of him who tried to join him but the Moon's power was too overwhelming for him and left him paralyzed.

The Moon in the Cosmic Tribe is the only clothed figure in the deck! It is significant because, unlike the other figures, she is hiding something - putting on 'false glamour' and keeping her true self hidden... What a great rendition of the Moon!
The best Rider Waite-Smith style Moon would have to be the one from the World Spirit... I really like the colours and the way it has been rendered...

The moon is one of those cards that sometimes makes me want to buy a deck. Right now the Victoria Regina is my favorite. I have had a rubber stamp of the image for many years. When I saw it, it was like greeting an old friend.

The Moon is definately one of my favorite cards, along with the Star. I vote for the New Palladini moon as well. The Moon in the Wheel of Change Tarot is gorgeous too and it has the added unusual touch of having the river coloured red to represent menstrual blood - not for everyone I know but it is a gorgeous card.

I like the Moon in the Hanson-Roberts deck. I love the face of the female in the crescent portion of the moon and the colors are really appealing to me.
I also like the Moon in the Gill - I love the face and the tears the moon is crying, which fall to the Earth to join the water that the crustacean is crawling from.

I really like the Myers Art Nouveau Moon with her veils. She's so exotic and mysterious...

As far as traditional RWS styling goes I like the moon card from Nigel Jackson.
And for something different, I really like using Morgan Le Fay as the Moon in the Legend deck. And the Moon from the Fantastical is gorgeous.
Rhiannon :)

Victoria Regina (this card was the deciding one when I was figuring out whether I really wanted the deck -- and those 3 of Cups dancers). Also Tarot Nova, which emily2otters described so well.
Is there another deck somewhere, possibly an Art Nouveau Deck that is neither Myers nor Castelli, that also has a woman sitting on the crescent moon? I think I've seen one somewhere.
Speaking of the Castelli deck, there's an attractive Moon maiden in that one, too.

Mh... I think my Fav Moon is the one from the Vision Quest.
I feel the lady is celebrating the Moon, she aknowledges the inner, unconsicous, Moon-related drives we all feel inside, the fact that we all belong to Nature... And I love that feeling when I llok at it, and this all occurs to me!!! :D:D:D:D
But Gill is next, not on account of a particular concept underlying the card and the design, but only for the atmosphere, that Moon face mourning (no rays or beams, but tears here, unlike Palladini for example), all those creatures coming up and looking at the Sad Moon... *lovely*
EDITED TO ADD!!!!!!
WRONG!!!
My fav moon is from the Salvador Dalì deck!!!
LA LUNA! :D:D:D Just like in Italian:

I feel exactly the same way I described in the Vision Quest, even though it is more evident and BLUNT. I wonder if you ever stumbled on this card. The deck is not that good... But I'd get it for the Moon Card alone. It rocks. (In my plans as a tarot-holic THERE IS a Salvador Dali Deck :P)
Then come vision quest (the same reason as before as well as for SDalì) and then Gill...

I went back to barnes and noble (actually also another one across town too) to check out more of the 75% off things and bought this deck for $2.50!!! "The Art of Tarot" is the cutest! I love it! I may go back and buy another one and save it to send my sister for her birthday or xmas.
