i got the ananda and margarete peterson deck today! i'm simply estatic over these decks. they make me feel so warm and fuzzy. :D now my world would be complete if i could get a little help w/ a few german translations. i think i'll be able to read the ananda but if i knew for sure what a few words meant that task would be easier. for the most part i can guess by the pictures.
from the margarete peterson:
mutter-mother
munzen?earth
vater-father
tochter-daughter
sohn-son
flammen-flame?
kelche-?cup
federn? swords

ananda:
der narr-the fool
der liebenden-the lovers
das schicksalsrad-wheel of fortune
die kraft-strength
die umkehr-the hanged man
der tod-death
der ausgleich-temperance
die zeitenwende-judgement
das universum-the universe or the world?
kugeln-pentacles?
konig-king
ritter
konigin-queen
prinzessin-princess

thanks! i really appreciate any help.

I found a German to English dictionary online (Cups come up as tasse). You can plug in a word & see what comes up--but pick the D to E or E to D choice for whether or not you're using the German word first.

Kelche is cups, and I think Ritter is page, or prince.

if only catlin was here!

thank-you so much for the link to the german translator, hudson!! i'll test it out in the morning. :)

wavebreaker  18 Jul 2002
munzen - coins
flammen - flames
kelche - cup
federn - feathers

das universum - the universe
kugeln - pentacles
ritter - knight

Hi tarotlady,

Thanks for stepping in, if there are further questions concerning these decks, pl do not hesitate to contact me.

Liliana, your Ananada is on the way together with 5 US$ for getting the High John incence for me. German mail is yucki, I already complaint several times there but until now in vain.

tigerlily  18 Jul 2002
die umkehr - the reversal
der ausgleich - adjustment, or balance
die zeitenwende - hm... that's difficult; I guess it's along the lines of Crowley's Aeon or Tolkien's Third Age, Fourth Age, etc. - the end of one period of time and the begin of another.
Kugeln - spheres
Ritter - Knight
Münzen - Coins

Liliana  18 Jul 2002
I know its on the way caitlin, I just ordered in the High John incense last night (a big pack Im going to have to split hehe) Im not in a big hurry I just got my replacement Rohrig

And I thought US post sucked lol

Hi Truthsayer!

How are you doing?

Good translations. :) If you need anything else translated, simply send it to me. Those Internet translators can be very tricky at times - I tried several... I would be glad to help you if I can.

BTW, "Zeitenwende" can also be translated with turn of the tide, I think. It can be interpreted in some ways, even in German, it depends on what you refer to.

And just to let you know what mail REALLY sucks: US Army mail! Boy, you would wait AGES to get anything that is being send with this mail... in general German mail is good and fast, I guess it is the "international" that makes it slow... ;)

BB,
Helruna
