Anybody know of any that have a good variety of decks? I know of the Purple Pentacle already but I was wondering if there's anywhere else as well?

Don't worry HOLMES, I think I might be able to find it if it's a book store because I remember hearing about 1 or 2 good metaphysical bookstores. When I do find them, I'll let you know the names and maybe one will ring a bell. :)

Here are some metaphysical bookstores in Toronto (if anyone knows that any of these stores are good for Tarot cards, please let me know). :)
The Eternal Moment Bookstore
497 Bloor Street West
The Omega Centre Bookstore
9 Yorkville Avenue
Like I said before though, please add more to this list if you know of any others. :) Thanks!

this isn't a metaphysical store, but the bookstore Pages (on Queen st W... past John I think, pretty close to the Muchmusic headquarters across the street) has a good selection of decks, and I got my Rider Waite there for like $5 less than everyone else in town. If you're shopping in the area, just continue W a little past Spadina into the garment district and there are like, 3 goth clothing shops in a row. One of them's called Heretic and they give pay-what-you-can tarot readings by this wonderful man named John (on Saturdays I think) and will order any decks for you. I also remember a metaphy store up North on Bloor, the west side... I forgot the name, but it's close to Book City. Hope this helps!

Of course, if you are ever down my way towards the City of Light, I know a couple of places to check in Buffalo.....

HOLMES and isthmus - I went to the Omega Centre (the selection is so amazing) and Heretic today (I've been there before and forgot but I always love a good goth store :)) and I was at first very confused about which deck to get. I went to a few other places but the last place was Heretic because I got a sample deck of Thoth Tarot there for only $20 (no tax)! It's not even that handled (the box was in pretty good condition) so thanks to you guys I knew where the cream of the crop was. :)
Violet Gargoyle (love your name, btw) - that's so nice of you! :) I haven't been to Buffalo for a llooong time and living in Toronto I sometimes have the oppurtunity. unfortunately, I wouldn't buy Tarot decks in the States because of the exchange rate (it's hard on my dollar). *LOL*

You're very welcome, mermaiden! Glad to hear you got a good deal. Omega sounds interesting - what intersection is it?

The closest intersection is Bay and Yorkville Ave. so you get off at Bay station but I can't remember which direction on Yorkville you walk. I do remember that if you go by a gemstore place then you're going in the wrong direction. *LOL* Go to www.mapquest.com and use the directions option, I find it very helpful. Remember, that it's 9 Yorkville so you can look for numbers. :) FYI, anyone in Canada and the US can use Mapquest, I suggest it because I find the directions section helpful. :)

let's try that again (I want to master this for future purposes): www.mapquest.com
If that doesn't work, I'm going the FAQ section *LOL*

Thanks for the directions :)
Speaking goth clothes, do you ever go to Fashion Crimes? They have the most beautiful fabrics there, and there is always something bitching on sale.... oops, I'm getting off topic...
I just remembered Chapters also has a nice selection of tarot books and decks (yeah, I know... *Chapters!*) but I haven't checked in awhile, this may have changed. I also recall the World's Biggest Bookstore (very close to the Eaton's Center... can't remember intersection) has a whack of decks in a glass case upstairs, and a whole binder full of sample cards from different decks. I looked through the *whole* thing :P
As for Pages, I just went there today - and they got rid of their little tarot deck turning display thing!!!! Only a few decks now - so sorry if anyone went!
