okay guys and gals--
let's see if we can start a new game. surprise and satisfaction for all you tarotholics out there. first i'll need enough of you willing to play...
pm me with the following info:
1. one to three decks you're willing to trade.
2. three decks you'd like
3. three decks you don't want
4. three decks you have
5. your mailing address
here's how the game goes....
1. submit to me your info for the data base. (i'll play around a see what kind of matchings i can make) when i have enough players, i'll pm everybody to say the game's afoot
2. in about a week, i'll pm you with an address and a deck name
3. mail off the deck to the address.
4. wait for your surprise deck to come in the mail
if all goes well, we could continue on forever... the
random-deck-of-the-month-club. anybody game??
LVX

good idea but as the hermit described in a previious tarot-holics post, i'm feeling rather like a dragon living in a cave sleeping and snoring flames and smoke, sitting on my treasures dreaming happy dreams of new decks coming in the mail! LOL gotta find what that dragonheart can let go of. i can let go of books but not many ppl are as interested in trading books.

Great idea, but I am way to impulsive to play. I have to join Truthsayer in the Cave here ... as a good taroholic parting with decks is extremely difficult. Another challenge is that there comes a time (often times more than once a week - the impulsiveness I referred to earlier) that we "have to have" a deck, thus our list changes too quickly for monthly trading to keep up ... granted if we got a duplicate we could probably trade it, but that is not the purpose and I would be dissapointed if it were a deck I already had. Guess it is not a game for all taroholics *LOL* ... the sickest of us cannot play *ROFLMAO*

Well the truly sickest could go find a deck at a moderate cost (used online or whatever) and use it to play :)

personally, i object to the term "sickest". (possibly b/c i resemble it?) to be politically correct, i prefer the phrase "tarot challenged". i wouldn't want to be discriminated against due to my impediment. ;)

That's a great idea!!!
I'm in the same boat as Lunalafey and Tarotlady though, I don't have a deck to trade :(.

~Giggles~ sorry that was my fault Truth *LOL* ... and yes we both resemble that remark ... how about "those with tarot-compulsive-disorder"? I do not believe we are challenged ... other than to find a new deck that is (preferable OOP *ROFLAMO*)

:D okay, i can buy that. i certainly think i have an obsessive-compulsive streak. that's sure true about OOP decks!
i've been running my mind thru what decks i have and i have some oracle decks i don't mind trading. i've also thought about trading decks i like and want to keep then trade back for them in a couple months so i can re-experience the thrill of getting the deck again. OMG but i think i have lost the rest of my mind!!!!!!!!

ROFLMAO!!!!!! truthsayer you are such a trip!! :D
I think this is a GREAT idea! I love being surprised and what fun this will be!
It will be sort of difficult for us tarot-holics who buy and receive new decks all the time, but I'm definitely in!! I think it'd be lots-o-fun!!
Ok off to figure out which decks to trade and which ones I wnat the most! LOL

just to keep the record clear--to date i have traded 5 decks that i decided i wanted back and got back. now the oop, expensive, only available from the artist or rare that's where the dragon side comes out to guard her treasures!!!!!!!! i do have some principles, you know!!!!! :D LOL
but as i always say--of all the things i've lost, i miss my mind the most...

he creeps along the passage...
then out into the chamber...
my, he looks even meaner up close...
slowly, slowly, no noise...
closer...
closer...
FREEZE!
did he just see an eye lid twitch?
no...
breath slowly eases out...
now closer...
slowly, slowly, reach out...
don't make a sound...
there, he's got one...
slowly pull it from the pile...
what?
OH NO!
RRRRRROOOOOAAAAARRRRRRR!
FIRE! FLAMES! EEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Welllll... I guess he doesn't want to trade THAT one after all!

This is /such/ a cool idea :) Mind you, postage will be pretty dear to USA and Australia. Oh, what the heck :)
OK, now have I got any decks I can bear to part with? I've got 10 and I only need one ... But how can I bear to part with /any/ of them?
I wonder if I can pick one up cheap on ebay to trade ....
OMG, I really am a tarotholic :D
