Someone told me that Sylvia Browne charge 700 dollares for a reading by phoneand 750 dollares in person, her reading reading lasts about thirty minutes, should a reading of any kind cost so much? what do you guys think.

Sylvia browne is astonishing in her ability to read for people with amazing accuracy. I have a friend who had a reading done and learned all about her past lives and why she has hang ups in this one.
My personal feeling is if you have a gift and truly want to help people, 700 dollars is a bit extravagant, no matter how good you are, you are taking advantage. My thought is, if you have all these people who want you to help them, make the price more reasonable, you will still be rich and they will be helped.
I do readings, and they are very accurate, some go over an hour and a half, but I do not charge. At least not yet. I still do it for my own satisfaction and as long as I have someone who wants a reading I'll give it. Maybe someday I'll change my mind.....
That's my two cents.

You can get a reading from her son for about 3/4 her price I think. I know he costs less, but not by much.
Apparently he's nearly as accurate, has the same gift.
Sometimes I wonder about that lady, however I still like to watch the shows she appears on. She's at least entertaining without being showmanish and sideshow freakish.

"Only 12 Real Psychics in US? HA!"
This is a thread that touches on this subject.
I had inquired into Sylvia's services about 4 years ago. At that time it was $400 for a half hour phone reading, he son $200. I consider her an opprotunist, taking advantage of people in thier moments of distress. She is incedibly talented, yet she should be doing some voulenteer work for those that are REALLY in need.

The Laws of Economics dictate that price is where demand meets supply. If she charges $700±, it sounds to me like folks are willing to pay for it.
Perhaps she does pro bono work also, we do not know.
All we need to know is that there is a public out there that is willing to pay, and they want to pay.
Some of us should be hanging shingles out, and allow them to come to us. Many of us here are just as gifted. Our failure is that of not recognizing the gift, questioning our abilities (and the gift), and not acting.
One of my favorite cards is the RW Ace of Pentacles. It shows a garden gate. Good things can happen if you step through the gate. But nothing will happen if you do not.
Remember: They come to us (and Sylvia Browne) for a reason…

I read her boosk and they changed life and that is for certian.
never have i felt such emotion and compassion and spiritual hardship.
she charges 700 for she pays her whole staff , her whole family.
let's face it who among would open an office and hire a secretary,
just to do readings? we would have to do 5 to 6 readings a day may 8 at 20 dollars a pop.(beats me i am bad at math
i am not strong enough for that.
but she does do pro bono work "OR THOSE WHO NEED IT."
like child missing cases and such.
to be honest she is close to 70.
i paid 85 dollas to see bb king and there was an whole audience. and he was 76. and he devooted his life to music like she has to the "work"
she only does what 2, 3, readings a day she is after all only human.
she put in this regard. when she is not using her talent for the problems of the world lie missing children .
she should charge for she has to look after a big staff
and well obivously i am a pro slyvia browne fan.
and i too am having trouble charging for my meager readings. yet i do not have her gift. nor no one else to look after.
my outlook is this.
1.she is old
2. either you value her gift enought to pay 700 for her reading which is the main issue or you don't need to know.
which is ok i understand that i mean if i had a missing child. i would be need to know and she wouldn't charge me.
but for someone meager as my relationship if i had the meansi would pay 700 for i believe.
3, and don't forget her non for profit spiritual church, which really is non for profit i am sure that some of that goes to that church. in fact i think she mentions that.
helping people, with their little problems like relationships and work? charge
helping people with child cases and such.
free
doesnt' it balance out ?

Yep Homles and Umbrae, thats what I read in her books (I like her books), she doesn't charge for the more serious cases, like missing children, and cases she helps the police with like finding bodies.
I like Sylvia Browne, we have no idea what she is doing with that money, maybe she is sharing it with charities. Don't know, really none of my business though lol. Like Umbrae said, people are paying that price for it. It may be too steep for me of a price, but some people can actually afford that without their pockets being hurt.
