Hi All,
I just watched a program about the scariest places in the world. In the program, it mentioned a hot lake resort which had some dark history. The thing that caught my interest is that the family who wanted to buy the resort, visited the resort with a psychic at night, inside the house before they started the exploration, the psychic asked three persons to draw / choose (not sure which one), the deck should be Osho Zen. The woman got the "Inner Card / thought", the guy "mind" and the young lady "sorrow". I just wonder, if the resort is being haunted by spirits, will they somehow affect how the people draw / choose cards? I just feel creepy...

What a fascinating idea. Taking it a step further, how about taking your deck to historical places and asking questions about the people who lived there?
When I was a young lawyer, I worked in an old victorian house that was owned by a sea captain. It had a tower that we called the crow's nest. You had to climb a narrow, spiral staircase to get there.
The room at the top was tiny, way above the ground, and very uncomfortable. Gave you an industrial size dose of the heebie jeebies. (Heebie jeebies is a technical legal term for "the willies").
It would be cool to do a reading there, but regrettably, I've never been able to stay up there for more than a few moments.

You can do readings on haunted houses just from photographs. I was asked by a friend about a house she saw on the internet that she had a funny feeling about.
Using the RW deck,I shuffled & laid out 3 cards:
Ace Wands-8 Pentacles - 3 Pentacles
Translation: life energy-workshop- basement ! (The 3 of Pentacles with the darkness & stone reminded me of a basement.) I had the feeling it was an older man hanging around because he was psychically invested in his old workshop. The workshop theory was not obvious from the outside of the house or style of architecture, because it was a large old estate-type residence.
When my friend called the owner, she found out that one of the previous residents was a man with a workshop in the basement at one time.
However, I am leery of actually doing tarot readings inside houses I know are haunted. I wonder if it could stir up something unwanted for the owners, or myself.

gosh, had not thought of this.
I used to live in a house with a ghost.
I was not reading cards at the time, that was to come a few years later. But now I look back and wonder. Maybe I can find some pictures of the house (I lived there, should have some, DUH)
and break out the cards and see what I come up with.

It's nearly impossible for me to do a reading without a ghost or two around. They tend to follow me, or are drawn out by my/my guides' presence. IMO it's actually a little easier when they're around. Maybe it's because I'm used to them. *L*
There have been times when the cards refuse to speak after a certain point in a reading. At these time the more aggressive ghosts step forward and tell what they think the cards are trying to say. *please note: some of them just try to scare the pants off a person* Many times these little whispers end up pointing out something so obvious it would have been overlooked otherwise.

I don't think you need a picture to do it necessarily. If you had the address, or just pictured the house in your mind, it should work just the same.
