Hi!
What are tarot spells and where can I find more information about how to 'cast' them?

Look for other threads in the search..Many will suggest the book "tarot Spells" by Janina Renee..

I have a copy of Janina Renee's Tarot Spells book. If anyone in the US/Canada wants it, maybe a trade?

Redwood - I originally intended to use Tarot as a means of positive change by using Tarot based spells. However, as an attorney, I found that my skills are more attuned to the counseling aspect of the craft.
The book is great, and I used it for a while. I'm just on a different path.

It is an excellent book and I do use it as one part of my own meditation and positive realization work along with other thinks magickal. It is the only book that I've seen, but if you go to www.google.com and do an advanced search on the exact words "tarot spell" you will see a large number of interesting links to this area, including one to the book "Tarot Spells" by Janina Renee.

I went to the local bookstore and picked up the book. I must say it has many spells to enchance my everyday life. I can't wait to try them out. Wish me luck!

Dystopian -
I ordered this book online and and received it a couple of days ago. I am pleased with what I saw when I flipped through it and can't want to read it and put it to use.

I agree - it is a good book. I already tried some spells of it and they worked good for me. :D

Believe it or not but I bonded so well with this book that even reading the suggested spell sets stuff for me in motion! I really LOVE this book!

i looked at this book at the barnes and noble, and decided not to buy it. i take a more freeform approach to spellwork/prayer (some thing in my opinion).
when there's something i want to manifest in my life, i flip through a deck of cards and pull out all the cards that depict some aspect of what i'm praying for. for example, when i wanted a new job, i pulled out about 10 cards and then narrowed them down to four: 3 pentacles for working with a great team of people, knight pentacles for focus and satisfaction in the moment-to-moment reality of the job, chariot for achievement (and since my chariot is a pic of a bicycle, this card also symbolized a job that i could bike to), and temperance for the perfect blend of physical work, mental work, and interaction with the public.
i can't remember what JR's choices for the new job spell were, but i bet the weren't those. :D by picking my own cards, i made myself get way down into the nitty gritty of what i wanted, and personalized the spell for maximum efficacy.
(it hasn't worked yet. grrr. i'll keep trying.)
