WOW! Done my first reading!!!!!

Just felt the need to share that I had done my first reading.....it was amazing!!!!!!!! It was for a friend who knows I am still learning...and fairly new to it all....she said well ok practice on me!!! For some reason I chose to do a 7 card spread and without actually knowing ..i found myself saying during the readin ..that the first 2 cards were the past..the next 3 present...and the next 2 the outcome. I find this so astounding as up to that point I didn't know that was how the cards were to be read in a 7 card spread it just felt right! As I felt my way through the reading she was amazed by the accuracy of the cards that had come out,and I must admit so was I !!!! It was a wonderful feeling to have helped someone gain insight in to their innerself. I don't know if I should of chosen to do a 7 card spread for a 1st attempt but it just felt so right! Oh well just wanted to share. Angeline x

I did look up the meanings of cards in my book ...but I still found that I had the general feeling of the spread even before I checked out the meanings! I am so exited by all this....it just feels so comfortable and right. How did you all feel when you first started out? With love Angeline x

It's a wonderful feeling isn't it? I love it when a spread just clicks. I also love the looks of awe from the querent (if I have one). I'm always wearing that look too!!! Same here. I don't do that many readings for others, but whenever I do, I always have this fear that this time it's not going to work. But then of course it does work and it keeps surprising me... ;)

I got kind of nauseous when i first read for someone..I still do really lol...I am so worried..Most readings have worked out..some haven't..I have relized i should of re thrown a couple..i would of been more succesful..I guess it comes in time...Good for you for having a great reading!!

With love Angeline x Angeline, I don't think that it really matters if you read from the book or "by yourself" - what really matters is that you connected to the cards and that you found them to be meaningful to you and to talk to you - and the spread, of course. :) With a little bit of practise, the cards will start talking to you more and more without you having to look them up... give it a bit time and practise - you're heading down the right road, so to say... I think, most readers will start with looking up from the book/LWB - I know I did because I hardly could make sense out of my cards back when I started.... lol... I was a "Tarot Reader mess"!!! :D I felt quite uncomfortable the first time, as I got a deck that I was not sure about I liked (Swiss JJ, which is not bad, but oh well, wasn't for me). But I started out getting my Tarot deck the "hard" way, so, that doesn't really count. BB, Helruna
