Seasonal, monthly, what's your flavor of the month? For you, for readers?
I haven't picked up the Halloween Tarot yet, but I hear someone is using it in their October readings.
Maybe Springtime is for any celtic tarots around St. Paddy's day...Summer for California shore and romantic dreaming, AGM Mueller's Tarot of Love...Autumn for richly colored tarots that reflect nature...Xmas for Cathedrel art such as Golden Tarot of the Tsars. I'm still making up my list, thinking of seasons, months and maybe using Tarot For All Seasons again with the monthly tarot theme...and of course, a journal/calendar just for these fun things.
Kind of like my own monthly "Tarot Celebrations" or Tarot Calendar. Oh, the artist who did Tarot Nova has a Tarot Journal, I found it by browsing Amazon.com. Maybe that will be my whimsical April Fool's Tarot or I'll use it for monthly readings with the journal and Tarot for All Seasons.

This is something that I have been thinking of for a while now: What deck to use for each Sabbat?
I was thinking:
Halloween Tarot for Samhain
Sacred Circle for Lughnassadh
But I got stuck after that.

I use the Halloween Tarot a lot in the Fall. October is my favorite month of the year! Such a favorite, that I decorate for it in early September.

Maybe one of the black and white decks for winter? How about Victoria Regina during January.

Because I associate December with Christmas, and Christmas with kids, I think the Whimsical could be used alot in December...

I do my decks according to Zodiac sign rather than month. So:
Ancestorial Tarot = Aries--I used to use this deck with an Aries and she responded most powerfully to the "strong black" Egyptian women. So I still associate it with Aries ;) It also has that new, springtime feel to it--an aggressive, move forward deck.
The Universal Tarot = Taurus--has that elegant yet earthy feel
Mythic = Gemini--because Gemini's always seem very ancient Greek to me--when I see Gemini, I think of the Greek myth it's derived from--also, each suit tells a story in this deck, which makes it feel very Gemini, very verbal to me. In addition, the art has a lightness to it, the colors airy.
Zerner-Faber = Cancer--goes without saying I think. This is such a Cancerian deck. Dreamy, rich, and as we've discussed, likes to play "mom."
Po-Mo = Leo--very creative, very fun and out there.
Sacred Circle = Virgo. Very, very earthy, cool, almost objective
Renaissance (the one with the "sculptures" what's it called now?) = Libra. The three-dimensional art here seems very much the balanced, artistic Libra. Each image is centered so nicely.
Secret tarot = Scorpio. Ah, yes. Very much so with its dark ladies, and images that make me feel as if I've opened a door to come in on the middle of a story--full of secrets, like Scorpio. My Halloween deck.
Gendon = Sag. --very active images. Energetic and warm.
Aquarian = Capricorn --My Yuletide deck. Closest to an RW deck, it feels very old; solid and traditional, like family ornaments set upon a tree. Maybe it's just because this was my first deck--and because I once *did* use these cards as tree ornaments.
Dragon = Aquarius --I used this one for an Aquarian and it just seemed right for her. I think because the dragons seem to be otherworldly.
Mandala = Pisces --full circle and, like the Pisces, very "new-agey". A most spiritual deck in that the lack of figures and square shape indicate a kind of meditation.
At least, those are my takes on them. There are other elements that also influenced my choice of which deck for which Zodiac sign--like colors, dominating elements, etc.

I really like the Zodiac idea, Thirteen - only problem is I don't own enough decks - yet!
