I finally broke down and got the Cannon-Reed Witches Tarot tonight and the first thing I see when I got the deck home to look through it is that the 7 of Wands is damaged. There is a square incised at the top of the card. It looks like paper looks if you write very hard with a ball-point pen and there is a bit of ink scattered across the top, too. Has anyone had this happen before?
I'm going to write Llewellyn about it. Does anyone know if they will need my receipt? I'm disappointed.

Usually contact the manufacturer.
There has been a lot of good results from folks with similar issues.

I've written to Llewellyn now and feel better. I've never had a damaged card in a new pack & it surprised me.

I can't remember what thread it was in... someone complained about a card in a deck and got a whole new extra deck (makes sense though, what are they going to do with a deck that misses one card). I think it was the Cosmic tribe, I don't know if that's published by Llewelyn as well.

Ahhh, well that's encouraging! Thanks.

Midnightmerry: I recall such a thread, too. I think most have found that contacting the publisher of such a deck brings prompt responses.

Hi MeeWah. Thanks; I'm looking forward to hearing from Llewellen, hopefully they'll answer soon.
I waited for awhile to get this deck after waffling back and forth because some folks really seemed to have a negative reaction to it and because I was worried about how I would repond to the change up of elements=suits. But I have been very pleased with it so far. I like the artwork a lot and it doesn't bother me that some of the people are 'ugly'; it looks real. So yes, I was disappointed in the damaged card, but everyone seems to be confident that it will be corrected, so I'm not that concerned anymore.

Update: I did hear from Llewellyn yesterday and they are sending a replacement card. Yea!
