Is there a Monty Python Tarot out there?
If not, do you think there should be one?
Who would be the Fool in Monty Python? John Cleese at his desk?

John Cleese, yes. But at the Minister of Silly Walks.

I dunno of any dedicated MP tarot, but here's tip-of-the-hat from Sarah Ovenall:

[and to answer your other question: yes, of course there should be a Monty Python tarot! It seems so obvious... why hadn't anyone thought of it before...?]

Oooh thats a good one! I had already thought of the "It's" Man (Michael Palin) as the Hermit. and "Tim" (John Cleese) as the Magician.
Knight of Swords? The Knights who say Ni!

The real test is where to place the late great Eric Idle?
...and do props, such as the dead parakeet, and the little furry rabbit with sharp pointy teeth get to be in the majors or minors...
Just thinking about it..."My brain hurts!"

Eric Idle- The Heirophant for the Chracter in Meaning of Life? ("Just remember that the universe is expanding and expanding...") or would that be the World?
Sir Robin as the Chariot- Because he bravely ran away away. Although I always prefered the Queen Victoria Race......
Or Judgement- Bring out your dead (Bong)

This is a momentous occasion!
We have to do the right you know, have a brass band (oooh, Liberty Bell March would be appropriate), then a fanfare…then the announcement.
Umbrae is a man.
Umbrae is WRONG! Arrr oh en-gee wrong!
My brain was saying Graham Chapman, picturing Graham Chapman and typed Eric Idle…

I had wondered about that, but since we were in a Python frame of mind I though that Eric would have been flattered to be considered "Late, Great". (I E, I thought you were joking)
As far as Death goes, you have the Bring out your dead. You also have the Grim Reaper from "Meaning of Life" - or a picture of the Salmon Mousse.....

Justice could be the 'Witch Village' from Holy Grail, where they dress the 'witch' up, and try to wok out how to try her... He he...
And what about the solitary Knight that says Noo???!!!!
The Black Knight from Holy Grail could be... Strength....
No, no longer the Knights who say Ni! They are... The Knights who say... Ickyickyfetangzeboinging!
Hee hee... My boyf thinks that Terry Gillingham (The guy who does all the artistry for the Monty Python films) should do the deck!

You could also use Terry Jones as the High Priestess, if you want to count Brian's Mother....
And Micheal Palin as Emporer What's his face from Life of Brian....

Carol Cleveland. I was thinking that perhaps her "Zoot" character from Holy Grail might actually be a good one for the Devil card ("Oh, bad Zoot, naughty Zoot! She's been using the grail beacon again...!")

Death from Monty Python's Meaning of Life just HAS to be death. Doh!
Hey, along the lines of using humourous films, my bofirend and I thought that we'd like to see a Discworld deck . So, it's not a film, but books, but it would still be a great. Of course we'd get the usual artist guy to do the deck artwork... Here's what we came up with so far...
Fool: Rincewind
Magcian: Patrician
HPS: Granny Weatherwax
Empress: Nanny Ogg
Emperor: Vimes
HP: The Librarian
Lovers: Mort, Princess Kali, Vanessa(?)
Chariot: Luggage
Strength: Cohen the Barbarian and the Silver Horde
Hermit: Lenard de Quirm
Justice: The Watch
Death: Death. Of course. And Binky and Death of Rats.
Devil: Astfgl
Tower: Cori Celesti
Sun: Captain Carrot
Judgement: The 'death' of the Silver Horde, when they steal the Valkyrie's horses.
World: The Great A'Tuinn

I remember playing the Discworld game on my friends playstation some years ago. It had Eric Idles voice all through it.
Monry Python's Sun would probably be Terry Gilliam's- Remember the cartoon when the guy goes "What a love-ly day!"
The Lovers would be that married couple buying a mattress, but you cant say matress or the salesman will sing with a bucket on his head......

Nice idea, but the guy who did the Discworld art, Josh Kirby, is late - think he died last year.
I have to disagree with some of your choices, though. Rincewind deserves to be the Magician, so Twoflower could be the Fool. Granny Weatherwax is a bit long in the tooth to be the High Priestess - Magrat would be better. And we really ought to get Greebo the cat in the Majors somewhere, maybe as the Moon.

While you people carry on, I have a serious question. Who has the LWB for this deck?
I need help with the Eleventeenth of Spam. I cannot remember what it means, and it is crossed by the Lumberjack!
Does this mean what I think it means?

I love your deck ideas! I love the patrician as the magician, cos he's a real wheeler-dealer. Although, tabbycat's idea of Twoflower as the Fool also works well, as he is the original innocent abroad (literally).
Have you both read all the Discworld books?

Ah, the Jack of Spam card indeed poses a conflict~
I think it means a Pepperpot will throw a penguin at your telly, however, since the lumberjack is involved, I would venture to guess that a vocational guidance councelor will try to slap you with a fish by the pier.

Oh no, I most specifically stated and made clear it was not the Jack, but the eleventeenth of Spam that was crossed by the lumberjack.
I think perhaps I shall take this penguin to the pier and…Hey! My penguin’s dead! I think they threw a dead penguin through my telle!

No, its not! The "Singing in the Choir Invisable" card and the "Pushing up the Daisies" card are nowhere in that spread. That penguin is just restin' in its perch......

Would there by chance be a Confuse A Cat card in the same spread? That could completely change the meaning & require you to yell DINSDALE at the top of your lungs before going on to the rest of the reading.
Or possibly swallow a fish, I'm not sure.

No no no, there's no confuse a cat card, you are mistakenly mistaking that for the Philospher's Football Match card and confusing the Twit of the year race card in the 7th house with the Victoria Race.
Now, the King of Gumbys in your past influences position is telling you that your brain must come out.

No, no! The dead parrot cancels out the 7th house & reverts it back to the penguin with or without the telly.

She called the Dion Fortune Tarot
"The Monty Python Tarot".
It's not so awful that it is good.
It is inconsistently odd and humorous and yet the writing takes itself seriously.
It took all of two seconds for me, winning it in a raffle, to gift it to a friend who has an odd sense of humor and wanted to place it in her mind.
We could probably nominate several tarots we have different feelings about in this category!
